Things to do in Telluride

Summer/Fall Activities

Bear Creek Trail - Very moderate to easy hiking trail with beautiful waterfall views. It's great for kids and dog friendly! About 5 miles roundtrip.

Jud Wiebe Trail - Great hiking trail that you can find right in downtown Telluride. At the top you have great views of the town. 3-mile loop with lots of uphill. Dog friendly, but be aware of mountain bikers!

Take the free Gondola to Mountain Village for some shopping.

Telluride Blues & Brews Festival - This festival is every September and something to not miss. What's better than celebrating music and craft beers?

Farmer's Market - Every Friday from June to October you can check out the Farmer's Market in downtown Telluride. You can find all the local goods of San Miguel County from meats, raw honey and local artisans.

Winter Activities

Skiing & Snowboarding - Telluride is an amazing place to hit the slopes whether you are an expert or beginner. If you're a bit daring check out the Revelation Bowl or See Forever for a more moderate run.

Walk around downtown Telluride - The town itself is a gem and downtown has amazing shops and restaurants.

Snowmobiling - Book a guided snowmobiling tour around Telluride. Take in the beautiful scenery - Telluride Outside has great options!

Places to eat & drink in Telluride

A picture of the street in daytime.
  • Alpino Vino - This Italian spot is a must do for lunch or dinner on top of the mountain (literally). Be sure to make a reservation beforehand!

  • Stronghouse Brew Pub - A great spot for a drink, but it can get crowded. Try the Ranch Water!

  • Smuggler Union Restaurant & Brewery - Very laid back place with awesome local beer options and bar food

  • The Butcher & The Baker - Popular breakfast spot that has a great latte and breakfast burrito. Their pastries are amazing as well - get the homemade poptarts!

  • The Coffee Cowboy is a Telluride staple with great coffee and a solid breakfast burrito.

  • Brown Dog Pizza - Casual spot where they offer.

  • Detroit Style Pizza and classic. Not truly NY/NJ pizza, but their Brooklyn Bridge Pizza is pretty good!

  • Poachers Pub - Located in Mountain Village but another great bar spot for food and drinks.

  • Timber Room - Located in the Madeline Hotel and one of the best outdoor bar in winter or summer! Be sure to book a reservation here and try one of their signature cocktail.

  • The Saloon at Gorrono Ranch Restaurant - This is a must for Après Ski and drinks.
