Curator’s statement
This itinerary was designed for travelers who want more than just a beautiful trip—they want a meaningful one. It blends authentic cultural experiences, iconic coastal moments, and thoughtfully chosen stays that deliver a luxury feel without unnecessary excess. My approach to travel—what I call budget luxury—is all about balance. Instead of spending at a high level every moment of the trip, I intentionally mix elevated, once-in-a-lifetime experiences with low- or no-cost moments that are just as impactful.

Day 1: Arrival & first taste of Naples

Arriving in Naples feels a little chaotic at first—in the best way. It’s lively, a little gritty, and completely full of life. That’s part of the magic.
Settle into Caruso Place Boutique & Wellness Suites, one of my favorite stays for clients who want something elevated without going overboard. It’s central, walkable, and has that calm, polished feel you’ll appreciate after a travel day.
Once you’ve dropped your bags, head out and just… wander. Naples is one of those places where the best moments happen when you’re not trying too hard.
For your first meal, go straight to Pizzeria Sandropizzettata. This is not a touristy, polished experience—and that’s exactly why I love it. The kind of place where the owners remember your name, where you might get a surprise dessert at the end, and where the pizza is so simple it almost doesn’t make sense how good it is.
Tip: Order the Margherita. Always. The balance of sauce, cheese, and crust here is one of those “now I get it” moments.
End your evening with a slow stroll and gelato, soaking in the energy of the city.

A note from Tanya
Tanya Tip: Skip overthinking your first night. Naples rewards curiosity—just walk, stop when something looks good, and trust the experience.
Day 2: Ancient wonders at Pompeii

There’s something surreal about walking through Pompeii. You’re not just seeing history—you’re standing in it.
For the best experience, I always recommend joining a small-group tour led by an archaeologist. It completely changes the visit. Instead of just walking past ruins, you start to understand the stories—who lived there, how they lived, and what everyday life looked like before everything changed. It truly brings the entire site to life.
Tip: Go early, wear comfortable shoes, and bring water—it’s bigger (and hotter) than most expect.
After a full day, head back to Naples for a reset before dinner at La Locanda Gesù Vecchio. This intimate, often fully booked spot is known for its rich, traditional dishes—especially the ragù and pasta alla genovese—served in a warm, welcoming setting.
They’re also known for having excellent gluten-free options, which is a huge plus if you need it without sacrificing quality.
Day 3: Cooking, culture & local flavor

This is one of my favorite days because it shifts you from visitor to participant.
In your cooking class, you can learn everything from pizza to tiramisu to gelato—but if you want my recommendation, go for the fettuccine and ravioli made from traditional “grandma-style” recipes. There’s something really special about learning the kind of cooking that’s been passed down through generations—it feels less like a class and more like being let in on a family secret.
Spend your afternoon wandering—espresso at the bar, small shops, no real plan.
For your final Naples dinner, Januarius is a beautiful sendoff. Go for the Ragù alla Genovese or a charcuterie board if you want something lighter but still memorable.

A note from Tanya
Tanya Tip: This is a great night to dress up just a little—it’s not required, but it adds to that “last night in Naples” feeling.
Day 4: Arrival in Positano

The ferry ride into Positano is one of those moments that actually lives up to the photos.
As you get closer, the pastel buildings stacked into the cliffs come into view, the water shifts into that unreal shade of blue, and everything starts to feel slower, softer… like you’ve stepped into a different pace of life. And then it hits you—this is why people dream about the Amalfi Coast.
Check into Palazzo Marzoli Resort, one of my go-to recommendations for that iconic view without the ultra-luxury price tag.
Spend your afternoon exploring, stopping by Church of Santa Maria Assunta, and grabbing something fresh at Casa e Bottega.
Don’t rush golden hour. This is one of those moments worth lingering in.
Day 5: Capri boat day & coastal romance

A boat day around Capri is one of those experiences that feels like a splurge—but for couples, this is the moment to lean into it.
There’s something about being out on the water together—the quiet between stops, jumping into the sea, sharing a drink while drifting past hidden coves—that makes this day feel a little more personal and a lot more memorable.
If you visit the Blue Grotto, try to go early to avoid long waits.
Back in Positano, this is your night for a true seaside dinner. Book ahead, request a terrace if possible, and don’t rush it. This is one of those evenings that turns into the night you both remember most.
Day 6: Path of the Gods & shared moments

The Path of the Gods is easily one of the most rewarding experiences on the coast—and surprisingly, one of the most meaningful to share.
There’s something about walking it together—taking in the views, stopping when you want, just existing in the moment—that makes it feel less like a “hike” and more like a shared experience you’ll both remember.
Go early to avoid the heat and crowds
Wear proper shoes (this is not a sandal day)
Stopping at Il Chiosco del Sentiero degli Dei is part of the charm—simple food, incredible views, and a chance to just sit and soak it all in together.
Spend your afternoon however you need: beach, rest, or a slow drink with a view.
Day 7: Transition to Praiano

This is where the trip softens in the best way. Praiano feels quieter, more intimate, and a little more personal than Positano.
After settling into Albadamare Boutique Hotel, spend some time at Marina di Praia before heading out for dinner at Il Pirata. Built into the cliffs above the water, it’s one of the most unique and romantic settings along the coast—especially in the evening when everything starts to glow. This is a night to slow down. Stay a little longer, order another drink, and just enjoy it.
If you’re in the mood for something more relaxed, La Strada offers a more casual, local feel while still delivering a great meal.
Day 8: Slow luxury in Praiano

If you wake up early, don’t miss this.
Step out onto your private balcony at Albadamare Boutique Hotel and watch the sunrise over Praiano—the light slowly spilling over the cliffs, the sea still and quiet, the town just beginning to wake up.
It’s peaceful, unhurried, and feels completely different from the busier parts of the coast.
Take your time this morning. Coffee, fresh air, and nowhere to be.
Praiano has a way of slowing everything down—and by this point in the trip, that’s exactly what you want.

A note from Tanya
Tanya Tip: This is one of those moments I always tell clients not to skip. It’s simple—but it’s often what they remember most.
Need to know
Here are a few things that will make this trip feel even smoother (and more enjoyable).
Pack smarter than you think you need to. The Amalfi Coast is beautiful—but it’s vertical. Comfortable shoes will matter more than extra outfits.
Make dinner reservations ahead of time, especially in Positano and Praiano. The best spots (especially with a view) book up quickly, particularly in peak season.
Plan your transfers intentionally. Ferries are scenic and part of the experience, but they can be weather-dependent. It’s always good to have a back up plan in mind.
Start your days earlier than you think. Not to rush—but to enjoy places like Pompeii or the Path of the Gods before the heat and crowds build.
Leave space in your itinerary. Some of the best moments here aren’t planned—they’re the extra hour at the beach, the unexpected café stop, or the dinner that turns into a long, lingering night.
Lastly, don’t forget to slow down. Take it in and let the experience unfold a little. That’s where the magic really is.
