Curator’s statement
My husband and I didn’t get to have our honeymoon due to COVID, so we decided to do a family trip in lieu of our delayed honeymoon with our toddler, who was two years old at the time. We planned the entire trip around our toddler, and it was surprisingly pleasant due to the slower pace along with the attractions and restaurants we selected to visit that were kid- and stroller-friendly.

Things to do in Paris, France

Arts & culture
The Louvre Museum is a must-visit, but definitely go early in the morning. If you are traveling with children, they allow you to skip ahead and go in front. It is definitely stroller-friendly and walkable for kids. There are restaurants inside with great children’s menus for a great price. Don’t forget to say "hi" to the Mona Lisa before you leave.
Musée d'Orsay is another stroller-friendly museum and quite spacious if your little one enjoys walking around. Although it doesn’t feel as big as the Louvre, it’s worth taking photos of the giant clock inside and checking out the French art, which dates back to 1848–1914.
Gardens
Jardin des Tuileries is a beautiful garden with many visitors but it's not super busy, so it’s a great option to slow down and relax on any of the benches. Enjoy some French pastry and view the water fountains, or even feed some of the pigeons so your little one can watch and giggle.
Architecture
Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann is a shopping center, but if you go all the way up to the rooftop, you can see the amazing view of Paris. It’s definitely a great panoramic scene and it is also stroller-friendly on the rooftop, although getting up there did require some stairs, so I recommend getting a light foldable stroller.
Colonnes de Buren was a super fun spot for my little one. She absolutely loved jumping on the columns and scaring the pigeons away. The architecture and benches make it a pleasant spot to just slow down and enjoy your little running around.
The Eiffel Tower was a fun option for our little one. It is stroller-friendly as they do have an elevator. If you manage to grab the highest-floor ticket, it’s worth it as the view is incredible. You may not be able to use the stroller as much as you want, but if you need to put your little one down to snap a few photos, that works as well.
Family- & kid-friendly
Luxembourg Gardens & Carousel is a great location for a picnic. Simply go to a grocery store, grab a few items and just enjoy the view. There’s also a playground and carousel for kids, and they will be able to run their energy down as you enjoy the view of the garden.
Disneyland Paris, about an hour's train ride from Paris Nord train station, is a must-visit if you have kids traveling with you. The park itself is a lot smaller compared to Disneyland, but that is perfect for young toddlers, as you will be able to see everything in one day.
Day trips
Versailles has a beautiful palace where you will find over 6,000 paintings and 3,000 sculptures that date back to King Louis XIV to Louis XVI. It’s only an hour and a half from Paris, and worth the day trip, but best to visit between Wednesday and Friday as it’s less crowded.
