Things to do in Ischia, Italy

Hot Springs: Ischia is dotted with thermal hot springs, and it's the reason Italians have been vacationing here forever. Treat yourself to a relaxing soak in a hot springs, either at one of the public beaches or at a thermal spa.
Beaches: You're on vacation on an Italian island! You must spend some time laying on a beach; thankfully there are so many around the island.
Beach clubs: Another amazing way to enjoy the beaches on Ischia is to hang out at a beach club. They dot the island. For the entry fee, you get access to amenities like lounge chairs, bars, swimming pools, private restaurants, private docks for boats and more. Whether you're on a budget or looking for luxury, there's a beach club to fit everyone's vibe.
Explore: Ischia is quite a large island considering how small and remote it can feel. Because of this, there are a few different little city centers or neighborhoods on the island. Each one is different, and it's worth exploring the different little city centers. While you're at it, shop for some of the gorgeous local hand-painted pottery!
Giardini la Mortella: This gorgeous tropical botanical garden was planted in 1958 by by Lady Susana Walton for her private residence. Upon her husband's death she decided to open the gardens to the public to enjoy. It's a paradise and the perfect place to go for a stroll.
Places to eat & drink in Ischia, Italy

Bar Gino: A casual beachside lunch spot, Bar Gino has mind-blowing bruschette. You might just have one of the best lunches of your life here and definitely some of the best hospitality.
Cucina Fondicelli: The perfect stop for lunch if you've just gotten off the ferry midday! Cucina Fondicelli has delicious local dishes, spritzes and an adorable patio on which to enjoy your lunch.
Da Ciccio: At this classic Italian bar, you'll find quite possibly the best cornetto of your trip. Get the pistachio cornetto and a coffee to enjoy at the bar alongside the locals. Conveniently, Da Ciccio is located right next to the ferry terminal!
Gasparotto: Delicious gelato is a must on any Italian holiday! This is the place to get it on Ischia. The gelato is handmade with local ingredients. You won't even miss the dairy! That's right, somehow it's dairy-free.
Il Foccolore: Words cannot describe the experience of dining at Il Foccolore. This was without a doubt the best meal of my life: it brought one of my friends to tears. The traditionally cooked rabbit dinner is only surpassed by the warm hospitality of the family who runs this restaurant.
Ristorante Bar da Coco: This is the perfect little cafe to have your morning coffee and cornetto on Ischia Ponte. You'll be surrounded by views of the sea, fishermen bringing in their morning catch, locals chatting in Italian and an ancient castle. It's a dreamy start to the day!
Ristorante Pizzeria Pirozzi Ischia: You are still in the birthplace of pizza after all. Ischia technically is part of Naples, so you're going to need good pizza. This is the place to get it. Don't skip a locally-made amaro to finish your dinner.
Need to know
Time slows down on Ischia. This island is the perfect paradise to get lost in on your next Italy trip. It's a very short ferry ride from Naples but feels a world away. Ischia is a great off-the-beaten-path alternative to busier islands like Capri.
