Day 1: Arrival and a night out in Wynwood

Madai Crudo - Japanese sea bream, asian pear, myoga

Grab an Uber and head to your hotel, which is around a 30-minute drive to South Beach depending on the traffic. If early check-in isn’t available, allow the front desk to store your luggage and take advantage of the pool and beach.

If staying at the 1 Hotel or The Edition, take full advantage of the pool bar for lunch and cheers to the start of your girls' weekend. There is full service at both the pool and beach areas.

Once your room is ready, check in and get ready for dinner and drinks. If you want a pre-dinner drink while staying at the 1 Hotel, stop by the Watr Rooftop Restaurant or lively lobby bar.

Dinner: Head to the Wynwood neighborhood of Miami for dinner at Uchi. Make sure you get a variety of dishes to share.

Cocktail recs:

  • The Subarashi cocktail was super unique and refreshing.

  • My friends ordered the Pink Dragon and also loved it.

Standout recommended dishes:

  • Kinoko Nigiri—this was surprisingly one of my favorite dishes of the night.

  • Madai Crudo

Day 2: Spend the day in South Beach

Wake up and grab your complimentary breakfast if you are staying at one of my recommended properties.

If you are a workout-on-vacation person, you can take one of the many complimentary workout classes offered if staying at Carillon. The 1 Hotel has the largest hotel gym in the US, and it is absolutely beautiful. If you prefer to workout outside, take a bike ride or run along the pedestrian pathway next to the beach. You can rent a bike from the hotels or grab a Citi bike at the many docking stations along the pedestrian pathway.

Post-workout, head to the beach, pool, or spa for some R&R. Both The Edition and 1 Hotel have state-of-the-art beautiful spas. The massage at The Edition was one of the best I’ve had and the relaxation room put me in full vacation mode.

If you can pull yourselves away from the beach or pool, head to Motek, an Eastern Mediterranean Kosher Restaurant. I ordered the New York Oven Pita and it was amazing. The restaurant is BYOB, so make sure to grab a cold bottle of rosé on your way over if you want to enjoy a glass with lunch!

Since you are in South Beach for lunch, take a stroll down Lincoln Road and Flamingo Park.

That night, head to dinner at Paya, an island-inspired restaurant and bar. We each did the tasting menu for $75, which I thought was a great deal.

Recommended dishes:

  • Prime skirt steak

  • Coconut key lime tart

After dinner, get a little wild and grab post dinner drinks at Bodega—a speakeasy that you enter through a porta-potty door found inside of Bodega Taqueria.

Day 3: Your last morning at the beach

Pool at The Edition

Wake up on your final morning and grab your complimentary breakfast.

For some authentic Cuban coffee and pastries, head to Cachito Coffee and Bakery.

Catch those last-minute rays by the beach or pool.

Head to the airport and start planning your next girls' trip!

Need to know

Make sure to book spa and dining reservations, especially for a larger group in advance!
