Advisor - Yountville: A Feast for the Senses in Napa Valley
Curator’s statement

Yountville feels like a place designed for the senses. As a culinary school graduate, I’m always looking for destinations that celebrate food, wine, and atmosphere in equal measure, and Yountville delivers every time. You can stroll from one Michelin-starred restaurant to the next, sip incredible wines in intimate tasting rooms, and still find time for a buttery croissant in the morning. Everything here feels curated yet effortless—it’s Napa Valley luxury in its most walkable, indulgent form.

Things to do in Yountville

When I’m in Yountville, I always start my mornings at Bouchon Bakery. There’s something about the way their croissants flake apart that instantly reminds me why I fell in love with pastry in culinary school. I can also never resist grabbing a macaron or two for later.

I love taking a slow walk through the Yountville Art Walk in between tastings; it’s a simple pleasure that makes the town feel alive with creativity.

For a little sparkle, I head to Domaine Chandon—sipping a glass of rosé in their gardens feels like such a celebratory moment, no matter the occasion.

One of my favorite ways to soak in the valley is by renting bikes and riding through the vineyards; the mix of lavender, sun-warmed vines, and open air is unforgettable.

When I want to truly relax, I book time at the Bardessono Spa—the treatments there feel nourishing in every sense of the word. And for something magical, I always suggest a hot air balloon ride at sunrise—there’s nothing quite like watching the valley wake up from above with a glass of champagne in hand.

Places to eat & drink in Yountville

This is by far my favorite French onion soup

One of my absolute favorite dining experiences in Yountville is at The French Laundry. It’s not just a meal—it’s a journey through flavors, textures, and artistry that I’ll never forget, and walking through the garden across the street makes it feel even more special.

For something more relaxed but equally indulgent, I love Bouchon Bistro; sitting on the patio with oysters and a glass of Sancerre always feels like a mini trip to Paris.

Ad Hoc is another favorite because of its ever-changing menu; I once went on fried chicken night, and it was so good it felt like the ultimate comfort food elevated to perfection.

When I’m in the mood for something vibrant, I head to Coqueta Napa Valley for Spanish tapas and cocktails—the paella is my go-to, full of rich saffron flavor and served in a way that feels festive.

For a mix of art and wine, I recommend Cliff Lede Vineyards, where bold cabernets are paired with music and contemporary art, creating an atmosphere that feels playful and sophisticated all at once.

Need to know

Something I always tell my clients about Yountville is that it’s one of the few places in Napa where you can truly slow down and just walk everywhere. The beauty of this little village is that you can go from a croissant at Bouchon Bakery to a wine tasting to a Michelin-starred dinner all without ever getting in a car. Because it’s so special, reservations are a must—especially at the big-name restaurants and wineries—but I also encourage leaving room for spontaneity, whether it’s stumbling into a hidden tasting room or lingering at a café patio.

My best tip? Balance one or two “big” experiences like The French Laundry or a hot air balloon ride with smaller, everyday luxuries—a morning bike ride through the vineyards, a spa treatment, or a glass of bubbles in the garden. That balance is what makes Yountville feel indulgent but never overwhelming.
