Travel Style
I love to balance between what I lovingly refer to as my favorite flavors of travel: relaxing, adventure, or bonding vacations.
Relaxing vacations are a much-needed respite from the everyday, and I have been lucky enough to sunbathe with my partner, while sipping my favorite cocktail and reading a new book, in Mexico, Jamaica, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. I have also taken a “Mom Holiday” every year since my children were born—a solo weekend away to take a deep breath, reset, and come back the best version of myself.
My favorite adventure vacations include reveling in the beauty of U.S. National Parks such as Glacier NP and Zion NP. Or exploring a “Big City’s” unique culture, landmarks, and charm—because New York City is different from Honolulu in the most wonderful ways.
I love bonding vacations because they can happen anytime, small or big: going to the concert my friend has been talking about or taking my kids to visit a new zoo and playing Marco Polo in the hotel pool, to diving head-first into the magical chaos of theme parks like Walt Disney World or Universal (certified advisor for both!)—but time and memories with the ones you love outside of the day-to-day is the point.
And every once in a while, you are able to TripleScoop in one vacation! Like taking your loved ones on a spectacular Alaskan cruise where you share in adventures and relaxation alike, while making memories that last a lifetime.

While the town of Branson itself can feel deeply polarizing, Silver Dollar City is an absolute hidden gem. It is the perfect theme park for families, especially those with little ones. Impeccably themed as an 1880s Ozark mountain town, the park seamlessly integrates local artisans, interactive activities, and live shows into an idyllic, shaded landscape designed to naturally disperse crowds. The food is high quality, and the diverse ride lineup keeps every age and thrill level happy. The result is a beautifully nostalgic, gentle adventure that every generation can enjoy at an exceptional value. While the fall and Christmas seasons feature fun, immersive celebrations, our personal favorite tradition is spending a weekend at the Harvest Festival to celebrate my husband’s September birthday.
