Chasing the Shadow: Where to See the Total Solar Eclipses of 2026, 2027 & 2028
An eclipse is the one journey money cannot reschedule. It arrives on its own terms, for about two minutes, and the only thing you can choose is where you are standing when it does. I write this from Palma de Mallorca—which sits inside the path of the August 12, 2026 totality—and with years of experience aboard expedition- and yacht-class ships, including the launch team of one of them. Over the next three years, the shadow returns three times—to Spain, to Egypt, and to Australia—and each rewards a completely different kind of traveler.
