European travel has always been a passion of mine, especially immersing myself in iconic cities like Paris and discovering hidden gems off the beaten path. I find inspiration from travel experts like Rick Steves, whose insights often lead to unforgettable experiences. Iceland was a recent surprise for me as well, sparking a keen interest in exploring unique landscapes. I'm always dreaming about travel and planning my next trip!
My Travel Style
I studied abroad in Ireland in 1991 and haven't stopped traveling since. I love European travel, visiting beautiful places, eating great food and having unique experiences!

I can’t say enough about my experience with Liz Schrader as my travel advisor for my once in a lifetime trip to Italy! Every detail was perfect, and she was always available to help even while we were in Italy. Liz was able to listen to exactly what we wanted and make it become a reality.

Outstanding Service and Seamless Italy Trip! We can’t thank Liz Schrader enough for helping us pull together a last-minute trip to Italy. From the moment we reached out, she was responsive, professional, and incredibly resourceful. Despite the tight timeline, she managed to organize wonderful hotels in perfect locations, close to all the major sights but still full of local charm.
Everything went off without a single hitch: trains, water taxis, accommodations, and excursions were flawlessly coordinated. It truly felt like every detail had been thought through so we could relax and enjoy our trip.
We’re so grateful for the care and expertise that went into planning our vacation. We’ll absolutely be turning to Liz again for future travels!

Liz did a fantastic job planning our entire France expedition. She planned our trip like she was planning one for her own family. Communication was on-point, and she put in a lot of research to ensure that we got the most out of our eight-day trip. Also, Liz made sure we followed an efficient travel route so that we were not constantly traversing back and forth.
Our trip included 2 days in the Normandy region, where we had a full-day tour of the major sites, hosted by a very knowledgeable guide. From Normandy, we drove our rented car to the Loire Valley region, where we stayed at Château d'Artigny (a castle) just outside Tours in a quaint village called Montbazon. Very charming and classy! From there, we headed to Paris for the final four days of our journey, where Liz had planned for several days of activities, including: boat cruise on the Seine for Bastille Day fireworks display; tours of Notre Dame and the Arc de Triomphe; lunch at Jules Verne on the Eiffel Tower; guided bike tour of Versailles; guided tour of the Louvre (Mona Lisa); and a few planned self-guided tours of Montmartre and Musee d'Orsay (works of Van Gogh, Monet, Manet & Renoit, to name a few).
Overall, we left France feeling fulfilled, satisfied, and culturally enriched. Liz had given us useful tips, including how to approach people so that we had very warm personal interactions with the people of France. We could not be more pleased with the professionalism, personalization and preparation we experienced working with Liz. She set us up for success and delivered at the highest level.

Enchanting Christmas Markets: A Magical Long Weekend in Paris
“Paris is always a good idea,” but the city becomes an even more enchanting destination when the city is adorned with the magic of Christmas. Stroll through the largest Christmas market in the Tuileries Gardens, nestled in the heart of Paris, with a warm mulled wine in hand. Take a ride on the Ferris wheel for a breathtaking view of the city. Marvel at the mesmerizing city lights during the festive season — from the twinkling lights of the Champs-Élysées to the radiant glow of the Dior windows — and don’t miss the magnificent tree inside Galeries Lafayette. Hop on the train from Gare de l’Est for a day trip to Strasbourg for the largest and most magnificent Christmas market in all of France. It’s all doable during a long weekend in December. Don’t miss it!
