My Story
NYC based, NYC-metro area native, with stints in London, Chicago and Israel. Type A about travel logistics and fundamentals, while always leaving room for spontaneity, discovery and curiosity.
My Travel Style
A New Yorker, who lived in London for a few years in childhood, I got the travel bug at a young age. Some of my favorite early memories include the spaces between the "must-sees", and this has carried through to adulthood. I did teen travel/language programs through Europe (Switzerland, Italy, France & Holland) and a college term abroad in Israel with stops in Prague and Budapest. Whether a city break, ski trip, or beach vacation, I'll guide you towards your (not my) must-haves, and options to fill the rest of your day. Your travel fundamentals should be scheduled, but your experience should leave room for improvisation and curiosity!

Vail, Colorado in August
Many hear Vail and immediately think of skiing, but it's a best kept destination in the summer. Vail in August is especially unique, in that it is at high altitude (hello low humidity and cooler nights) and the crowds start to taper off as much of the country begins the school year in August, rather than September like us East Coasters. Additionally, while Vail has an airport, you can easily fly to Denver and drive or take a shuttle since there's no chance of snow tying up the highway. I have been vacationing here since childhood and love the weather, active options, and overall culture of the region!

Non-Touristy NYC: Art Edition
Art in NYC is so much more than an Instagram of street art, the MET Gala or the current "hot" exhibit. New York has been a hotbed of creativity and culture in so many ways, across cultures and for generations. While not everyone identifies as an artist and may lack technical skills or a formal art history education, everyone can have creativity, an eye and see different things.

Non-Touristy NYC: Active Edition
Having lived in and around NYC for most of my life, few things rile me up more than those who think it's a tourist trap! When I read blogs/groups for tourists lamenting healthy and active options, I chime in with a local perspective. Many of us are sporty and active. These are our stories (DUN DUN).

Long Weekend in Santa Barbara
A small-but-mighty city on the beach, Santa Barbara epitomizes all things California, minus the LA Glitz, Bay Area tech culture and traffic. You can visit as a one-city trip or as an in-between. It's a wonderful getaway with enough to do as a single, couple, family, group or divide and conquer and share stories over dinner. There is truly something for everyone and it's a solid 3–4-day trip.
