Paris is my favorite city in the world, hands down! It was the first international city I ever visited, and let’s just say — the travel bug caught me hard. I’ve been to Paris six times (and trust me, that still isn’t enough), and I’m dreaming of moving there next year.

From the iconic landmarks to the hidden gems, I’ve done it all and seen it all, but Paris still surprises me every time. So, whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned visitor, let me take you through my perfect Paris travel guide. It’s everything I love about this city. Be prepared to fall in love!

Scotland holds a special place in my heart. My mother is from here, so I might be a bit biased, but I truly believe it’s one of the most beautiful countries in the world. With its rugged landscapes, rich history and vibrant culture, Scotland offers something for everyone. While there’s so much to explore, this guide focuses on two of its major cities: Edinburgh and Glasgow. Edinburgh, with its stunning architecture and picturesque charm, feels like stepping into a storybook. But Glasgow? That’s where you’ll find the real, down-to-earth Scottish spirit, with its friendly locals, lively arts scene and bold character — not to mention the thickest Scottish accents you will ever hear!

Iceland first captured me in 2011, and when I returned a few years ago, it felt like no time had passed. The landscapes are otherworldly — glaciers, volcanoes and geothermal wonders that make you feel like you're on a different planet. But it’s the people who truly make Iceland unforgettable — warm, resilient and full of stories. And here’s the kicker: Iceland is only a five-hour direct flight from New York City — less time than it takes to get to Los Angeles! If you’ve been thinking about visiting, now is the time. Iceland is a land of endless surprises, and it’s closer than you think!

When I think of Stockholm, one word comes to mind: magical. I took a solo trip to Stockholm a few years back, and being it was April, you could feel the city coming alive after what I am sure was a long, cold winter. It was still quite chilly, but that did not stop me from exploring this gorgeous city on foot. Sidenote- the people are just as beautiful as the city. I swear everyone must have been a model! The food, the culture, the museums — Stockholm was the perfect location for a long weekend. I quickly got into a "fika" state of mind, and you will too!

Banff was always a bucket list destination for me. I remember the first time I ever saw a picture of Lake Louise and could not believe that this was not some place in some far-off magical land but only a few hour flight to Canada. It is spectacular in every way, and the pictures do not even begin to do it justice. Be prepared to fall in love!

To me, Portugal is perfect. Within five minutes of being there, I never wanted to leave. I visited Lisbon and Porto with a friend for a getaway in 2021 and I loved both cities equally. It is a photographer's dream; everywhere you look is a postcard. Both cities have some of the best food of any destination I have ever been. In fact- I recently booked a long layover in Lisbon on the way back from a trip to Morocco JUST to have this sandwich I have not stopped dreaming about since my trip back in '21. So whether this is a solo trip, a friend's getaway, or a family vacation- you must consider Portugal! I can't wait to go back.

Anthony Bourdain once said, "Vietnam, it grabs you and doesn't let you go. Once you love it, you love it forever." Back in 2018, I traveled solo through Vietnam for a month and it was the greatest gift that I have ever given myself. The chance to connect with a culture so different than mine helped me reconnect with myself. Vietnam smacks you across the face, takes you by the shoulders and reminds you that you are alive! All in the best possible way. A feeling that at the time I had been searching for. The people, the food, the smells, the culture, the energy! Cities like Hanoi make New York City feel like a sleepy hamlet. Vietnam is incredibly safe for solo female travelers, but also the perfect place for a family looking to take a trip full of adventure. It really has something for every kind of traveler. It will grab you and you will love it forever. Just like it did to me.
