My Travel Style
I started my travel career in ecotourism as a landscape architect, designing resorts in the South Pacific, helping destinations rebuild after disasters, and telling the stories of small places that deserve to be discovered. As someone who spent years designing spaces, I know the right place can transform you, which is why I obsess over hotels. Whether it's a five-star stunner or a quaint family-run boutique, what matters is that it's thoughtfully designed and makes you feel cared for. Katy was so incredibly helpful with recommendations, booking and perks. We told her our needs and preferences and she quickly responded with several selections. Based on her recommendation we chose the Grand Hotel Central and we’re not disappointed. Hotel was great, staff very pleasant and easy to deal with, room and perks everything we wanted and needed. She handled the booking process, got us an excellent rate and was also able to rebook us at a lower rate when our original rate was lowered before our arrival. We had a very nice welcoming gift when we arrived in our room, as well as a nice gift from Katy delivered by hotel staff. This was the second hotel recommendation from Katy (first one was in London last spring). Excellent experiences on both and we will happily continue to use her as our go-to travel professional. High marks for both the lodging and Katy.
