My Story
Outgoing, global travel lover, and curiosity seeker—everyone calls me Buzz! A nickname my mom gave me as a child for always “happily buzzing around like a bee.” It captured my spirited nature and still reflects the enthusiasm and wonder I bring to helping others and exploring the world.
Travel Style
I don’t just travel—I immerse myself in every place I visit. My favorite mantra is: the best souvenir you can bring home is a memory. I’ve slept under the stars in a tree hut volunteering in the Amazon, sea kayaked through Alaska, road-tripped by RV across New Zealand, taken solo photography journeys to Scotland, Ecuador, and Norway, savored the luxury of five-star resorts and Irish castles, and found peace in the world’s most serene healing retreats. My adventures range from glamorous to gritty, each one a gift. They’ve given me insider knowledge and an instinct for crafting journeys that fit people perfectly—so you don’t just see the world, you become part of it.

Kate was a huge help in planning our recent trip to Costa Rica. She knew the country very well, so her insider knowledge and insights were awesome. She booked us at the amazing Andaz property and coordinated many special touches that made the trip even better. We have worked with Kate many times and will continue to do so!

Kate was an absolute joy to work with—so enthusiastic, knowledgeable and genuinely invested in making our trip to Amsterdam and Bruges special. She put together a beautiful destination guide packed with insider tips, tours, and incredible dining recommendations, and booked us an unforgettable private tulip tour. We can’t recommend working with Kate enough!

We've worked with Kate a few times and every trip has been wonderful-but our most recent was exceptional. Due to unforeseen circumstances the week of our trip, travel to our original destination in Mexico was no longer possible. Kate calmly and quickly secured a fantastic new booking in Cabo, and her hard work made all the difference. Our whole family enjoyed a carefree vacation, and we're so grateful. We'll continue to work with Kate and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a travel advisor.

Kate planned an anniversary trip to Nashville for my wife and me, and the experience couldn't have been easier or more enjoyable. From securing tickets to a show to arranging special perks and thoughtful touches at our hotel, every detail was completely handled. She has a great way of making the planning process effortless and fun, while still making the trip feel truly special and personal. I've continued to use Kate as my travel advisor and have confidently referred her to many friends — she's someone I trust and genuinely enjoy working with.

Kate was amazing. We had a fabulous trip with no surprises or unexpected glitches. Kate was very instrumental in this happening. She made sure she understood what we were looking for and then was very detailed and organized with all her suggestions. We were extremely happy with all the tours etc. that she set up. She also had a lot of tips and suggestions she passed along to help make various parts of our trip easier or more interesting. We will definitely call Kate again for our next trip.

Scotland Awaits: My Highlights
With a last name like MacGregor, I am obviously biased when it comes to Scotland. This country is in my blood, and every visit feels like coming home to a place that keeps getting better. It layers history, humor and heart into every corner, from the cobblestoned lanes of Edinburgh to the fairy pools of Skye to the vastness of the Far North to the most adorable shaggy cattle you've ever laid eyes on. I've traveled every inch of it, and I still can't pick a favorite—Scotland doesn't let you. It just keeps giving more.

Ecuador: Travel With Purpose, Return With Perspective
My three magical places in Ecuador are all different yet the same. They change you. Rejuvenation begins in the Andes, purpose takes root in the cloud forest, and perspective expands beneath the vast Amazon canopy. This is not a vacation—it is a journey of giving back and giving in to serenity. Begin at SachaJi Wellness Sanctuary, where the Andes invite you to slow down, breathe slowly, and reconnect with yourself. Incredible gardens where all your food is grown, deep cultural immersion, and unique therapeutic services. Continue to Mashpi Lodge, where conservation becomes personal and every activity in the cloud forest has a purpose. End at Sacha Lodge, where the Amazon stretches endlessly before you, reminding you just how vast, beautiful, and interconnected our world truly is. Ecuador has a remarkable way of restoring not only your sense of adventure, but your sense of self.

New Zealand's South Island: Glaciers, Fjords & Adrenaline
Our journey to New Zealand began in Christchurch. We spent just a day there to rejuvenate after the long flight, then boarded the TranzAlpine Train to our first destination in Arthur’s Pass. The train itself was a stunning introduction to the gorgeous landscape of the South Island. I strongly recommend booking a Scenic Class seat—you will look out the window mesmerized the entire ride. New Zealand’s South Island is the kind of destination that ruins you for ordinary scenery. One moment you are racing through a canyon at alarming speeds, the next you are standing silently on a glacier wondering how this is a real place. It delivers adrenaline, serenity, and jaw-dropping beauty in equal measure. Even after weeks exploring, I was still pulling over every twenty minutes just to stare and say of word of gratitude that I was experiencing such wonder.
