The colorful, joyful energy of the Palihouse in Santa Barbara. The cool, effortless LA style of the Palihouse in West Hollywood. Each property perfectly matched its destination's personality, and each reflected our preference for boutique, understated luxury without a single misstep. And then there was the drive through Big Sur. Arranging the timing so we hit that stretch of coastline just right, with its dramatic cliffs and pristine beauty, was something I will never forget. It reminded me why California is unlike anywhere else on earth.
