Designer by trade, diver and race traveller by choice. I plan trips the way I design: details first.
Travel Style
I spent more than two decades leading design and innovation for a global sportswear brand, most of it making performance apparel for elite athletes, and it trained me to notice what makes an experience work: the room layout that suits a teenager, the dive shop you can walk to from your lounger, the boat that collects you at the hotel instead of the ferry queue. That's how I plan travel. I'm a certified diver, I travel to run races, and I go most often with my partner and my daughter, so I know how to build a week that keeps an active family, a non-diver and someone with strong opinions about design equally happy. I like specific places, real culture and a point of view, and I'd rather send you somewhere particular than somewhere safe. Ground I know first-hand: the Caribbean from St Kitts to St. Croix, Mexico from Cancún to Puerto Vallarta to Mexico City, Belize, Hawaii, the French and Spanish Mediterranean, Venice, Porto, Malta, Cape Town, Sydney and French Polynesia.

Carmen Zolman was really nice throughout the whole booking process and took into consideration everything that I wanted for the trip. She had obviously done research on the different areas of the island and the hotels and resorts in them. I think that the Sheraton was a really good choice for what I had requested and it all worked out really well. I definitely recommend booking through Carmen!
