Kyoto is such an enchanting place with its old-world charm and rich history. As the historic capital of Japan, you’ll find plenty to do here. I recommend staying in Gion, near the river. Here you’ll find the picturesque part of town that seems to have been frozen in time, along with tons and tons of restaurants and shopping.
