I just returned from a quick trip to Cartagena, and loved the trip over all, but the highlight was our stay at the new Sofitel in Baru Island. I strongly recommend it as an add on for anyone visiting the Cartagena area. It's a very special property. 

Mexico is one of my favorite places to visit. Its accessibility and variety keeps me coming back. Puerto Escondido is my undoubted choice when I'm looking to unplug and recharge. Its beautiful beaches, terrific food, and laid back attitude make it the perfect place to escape. Its lush surroundings and beautiful sights always leave me inspired and ready to take on whatever task is next. Extra points if you are looking for a surf destination, it has all the vibes and the surf!

Cartagena is a city that is known for its beauty, history and culture. But it's also a city that has a thriving food scene. From traditional Colombian coastal cuisine to international fare, there's something for everyone to enjoy in Cartagena. If you're a foodie looking for a vibrant escape, then you'll definitely want to plan a trip to Cartagena.

Marfa Texas, a small desert city in West Texas with special energy, has become a hot spot for contemporary art. It's a cool spot throughout the year, but its main yearly event, MARFA INVITATIONAL, typically held in May, provides an unparalleled platform for viewing and experiencing some of the most exciting artists. Nestled in the Big Bend region, a trip to Marfa can offer a fun balance between hiking/star gazing and happening gallery openings. Bring hats, plenty of sunscreen, lots of lotion and a jacket, Marfa is almost a mile high and somewhat of a desert climate so temperatures drop once the sun goes down.

Austin Texas is always a terrific destination but come March the city is flooded with visitors from around the globe to experience the annual South by Southwest Festival aka SXSW. Covering tech, film, music, entertainment and everything in between the city is transformed by this global convergence. The energy of the city is contagious but it can be overwhelming to navigate during the festival, don't worry — I got you!
