3. Monument Valley, Navajo Nation: one of the most unique places to visit in Arizona

Monument Valley, found near Arizona’s border with Utah within the Navajo Nation Reservation, is a gorgeous stretch of land boasting a plethora of unusual geographical features. Long, flat plains of green and tan are suddenly interrupted by red-rock formations — buttes — with distant mountain ranges ever present.
