Currently based in sunny San Diego but being half Japanese, have spent my life taking almost yearly trips to Japan. Want to know where to avoid the crowds and experience Japan like a local? I’m your girl! In my adult life, I’ve traveled up and down California and have been able to experience many other states thanks to my Facebook mom group.

I love going to new places and fitting in one or two touristy things but really like to focus on what the locals are doing and eating. I especially enjoy trying to use public transportation and my own two feet to get around and explore. Traveling makes my heart so happy whether it’s with a family trip with my husband and two kids, a getaway without the kids or my friend group (who lets me take the reigns when it comes to planning them)
My ideal vacation day would be waking up in my AC cold room, going out for a yummy brunch (with a delicious Bloody Mary), walking about the area to explore and just pop into whatever is calling my name, then finding a place for dinner with good food and drinks (or local craft beer) and end the night with some live music!
