Ocean view

The Sheraton Waikiki is one of those resorts that earns its reputation every single time. From the moment you arrive, customer service sets the tone. The staff genuinely goes out of their way to make you feel taken care of, and that warmth carries through the entire stay. The location is as central as it gets in Waikiki, steps from the beach, with Diamond Head sitting right in your sightline from the oceanfront rooms. It is one of those views that never gets old no matter how many mornings you wake up to it.

The pool situation here is a real standout and one of the main reasons this property works so well for so many different types of travelers. The adults only infinity pool is the only oceanfront one of its kind in all of Waikiki, and it genuinely feels like the edge of the world looking out over the Pacific with Diamond Head in the background. For families, the Helumoa Playground area is a full-on aquatic experience with two freshwater pools, a 70 foot water slide, whirlpools, and an interactive fountain area for younger kids. Everyone in your group has their own space, which is rare and really thoughtful for a resort of this scale.

Infinity pool

What also sets the Sheraton apart is how self contained the property is. With multiple restaurants and bars on site, including RumFire, which is one of the best spots in all of Waikiki for sunset cocktails and live music, plus shops, a spa, and a spa, you could genuinely spend your entire trip without ever needing to leave the property. That said, being steps from the beach and centrally located means everything Waikiki has to offer is right outside the door whenever you are ready for it.

Double bed

This property is ideal for families who want variety and ease, couples who want a lively but polished resort atmosphere, and anyone who wants that classic Waikiki experience done really well. It is a big resort that somehow still manages to feel personal, and that balance is hard to find. If your clients are looking for a reliable, beautiful, well rounded home base in Hawai’i, the Sheraton Waikiki is one of the easiest recommendations you can make.

Need to know

Request an oceanfront room facing Diamond Head. Not all ocean-view rooms are created equal here. Being specific about wanting that Diamond Head sightline when you book makes a real difference in the overall experience.

The adults-only infinity pool has an age minimum of 16. Worth flagging for families so there are no surprises at the gate. Plan accordingly if you are traveling with teenagers.

Pack reef-safe sunscreen. Hawai’i state law requires it, and the hotel will remind you, so just come prepared and skip the hassle of tracking it down once you arrive.
