Luxury weekend getaways from Los Angeles don’t have to involve airports or long travel days. This guide features my personal selection of the best luxury hotels across Orange County, Palm Springs and Rancho Mirage, Santa Barbara and Montecito, Ojai, Palos Verdes, San Diego, Malibu and Westlake Village, along with curated Los Angeles staycations, based on experience as a travel agent and LA native.
Orange County
The Resort at Pelican Hill is ideal for anyone seeking spacious accommodations and stunning coastal views. Ultra-luxurious and secluded, it’s especially popular with golfers and spa enthusiasts. Montage Laguna Beach is one of Southern California’s premier oceanfront resorts, known for its incredible location, spa, and direct beach access. Palm Springs and Rancho Mirage
