Location
Located about 30 minutes from Lisbon, this property is tucked away in its own gated community in the Sintra hills. Sintra is easily one of my favorite European towns, but Lisbon, Cascais, and other areas are nearby.
Rooms
While the surrounding grounds make the property seem expansive, the hotel feels intimate. The rooms feature balconies and offer various nature views, creating a relaxing morning of listening to birds while enjoying your in-room coffee.
Property
The resort’s on-property golf courses are highly rated among golfers, but are equally stunning just to walk around.
After a morning on the links, head to the spa, housed in its own building, to enjoy a treatment or relax in the private garden pools.
Finally, spend the afternoon lounging at one of two outdoor pools at the hotel or enjoy an indoor pool and hot tub if the weather is a bit too brisk.

The on-property restaurants are where the Penha Longa Resort truly shines. They feature multiple Michelin-starred restaurants, but their more casual Italian and sushi options are also exceptional. As always, end your evening in the lobby bar chatting with friendly staff and fellow guests.
