Curator’s statement
Sailing in the Massive Suite on Virgin Voyages’ Brilliant Lady was more than just a cruise—it was stepping into the brand’s boldest vision of luxury at sea. As the top-tier Mega RockStar Quarters, this suite offers unrivaled exclusivity: a sprawling forward-facing terrace, a private hot tub, guitars for in-room jam sessions, and service so personalized it feels like your every whim is anticipated. What made this stay even more extraordinary? Ours was the first sailing after the ship’s christening, meaning only Richard Branson himself had slept in that bed before us. Experiencing Virgin’s newest ship on her MerMaiden Voyage, from the best suite onboard, was an unforgettable blend of prestige, playfulness, and rockstar indulgence.

Sailing in the Massive Suite on Virgin Voyages’ Brilliant Lady was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that perfectly blended exclusivity with Virgin’s playful approach to cruising. At over 2,100 square feet, this is the largest and most coveted stateroom in the fleet, and it truly feels like your own private retreat at sea. From the moment we arrived at the Manhattan Cruise Terminal, every detail was handled with care—private transfers, a dedicated RockStar agent, and priority boarding that whisked us past the crowds. Within minutes, we were sipping champagne in our suite and enjoying personalized touches like our favorite wine, snacks, and even cocktail ingredients stocked in the in-room bar.

The suite itself is stunning: a spacious living room with floor-to-ceiling windows, a king bedroom with peek-a-boo shower, and a second bedroom that doubles as a music lounge, complete with guitars and a Nintendo Switch. The highlight, of course, is the forward-facing terrace—outfitted with a private hot tub, hammocks, lounge furniture, and an oversized dining table. While the design could be optimized (more loungers and a slightly smaller terrace footprint would go a long way), there is nothing quite like soaking in your private hot tub while gazing out at the open sea or watching the sunset over Bermuda. Do keep in mind that while sailing at sea and in windy conditions, this terrace is often unusable, with furniture secured by the crew—an important detail to know before booking.

Where the Massive Suite truly shines is in the Mega RockStar experience. Your dedicated RockStar Agent is essentially your personal concierge, arranging reservations, delivering meals to your suite, and surprising you with little extras along the way. We enjoyed in-suite dining from Rojo, daily champagne and charcuterie boards, and seamless priority access to shows, events, and disembarkation. Richard’s Rooftop, the exclusive RockStar lounge, is another perk—perfect for sunset cocktails during the nightly happy hour. It’s this elevated level of attention and access that transforms the suite from simply a luxurious cabin into a full-on lifestyle.

In-room dining
This is the suite for those who want the best of the best: honeymooners, milestone celebrations, or anyone ready to indulge in an over-the-top luxury cruise experience. While other cabins on Virgin Voyages deliver plenty of style and fun, nothing compares to the brag-worthy exclusivity of the Massive Suite—especially on a brand-new ship like Brilliant Lady. If you’re considering it, let’s chat. As a travel advisor, I can not only secure this coveted suite, but I can also add exclusive perks like onboard credit, complimentary breakfasts, and VIP amenities to make your sailing even more extraordinary.

Need to know
While the Massive Suite is a showstopper, there are a few insider details that travelers should know before booking. Because the suite’s terrace sits at the very front of the ship, it can be unusable while sailing in windy conditions—crew members will often secure hammocks, cushions, and chairs for safety. This makes port days and calm evenings the best time to fully enjoy the outdoor space. Inside, the master shower is stylish but more compact than other Mega RockStar layouts, so design expectations should be set accordingly.
The good news is that these quirks are far outweighed by the unmatched perks of Mega RockStar status: a personal RockStar Agent available 24/7, daily spa access, complimentary transfers, Richard’s Rooftop access, and a fully stocked in-room bar that can be customized to your preferences. These touches—along with priority dining and show reservations—transform the Massive Suite into a full luxury lifestyle, not just a stateroom.
This suite is extremely limited and sells out quickly, especially on special sailings like MerMaiden Voyages or holiday getaways. As your advisor, I can make sure you not only secure the suite but also enjoy exclusive extras such as additional onboard credit, special dining arrangements, or celebratory touches for milestones. I also help clients navigate Virgin Voyages’ evolving promotions, lock in the best value, and handle the finer details that can otherwise be frustrating when booking directly.
If you’re dreaming of sailing like a true rockstar—with Richard Branson’s suite as your stage—let’s connect. I’ll ensure every element of your voyage is seamless, from private transfers to personalized surprises, so you can simply step onboard and enjoy the spotlight.
