Curator’s statement
Royal Caribbean’s first Royal Beach Club opened on Paradise Island, Bahamas in December 2025, giving cruisers a new and incredibly convenient way to enjoy a nearby Nassau beach day. Everything is included—transportation, food, drinks, towels, sunscreen, loungers, and entertainment—so from the moment you step onto the ferry, the day feels curated, seamless, and wonderfully unhurried. Absolutely no planning is required for an amazing, effortless day—just choose where you want to settle in and let the island take it from there.

Before diving into the island’s different “neighborhoods,” it’s worth noting one important update: on April 3, 2026, Royal Caribbean renamed the two beaches. What was originally labeled Family Beach is now Chill Beach, and the former Chill Beach is now Paradise Beach. If you’ve seen older maps online, this explains any mismatched labels and helps avoid confusion once you arrive.
Lay of the land
The island unfolds from west to east, beginning at the lighthouse at the tip of Paradise Island and stretching toward the far side of the property, with Atlantis Resort in the distance. When you step off the ferry, turning left takes you west toward Chill Beach, while turning right leads you east toward Paradise Beach. Party Cove sits right in the middle, easy to spot thanks to its colorful two‑story party deck and massive swim‑up bar.
Chill Beach
Chill Beach is the most natural shoreline on the island. The sand is soft and abundant, with a noticeably wider stretch between the loungers and the ocean than anywhere else. It feels breezy and open—the kind of place where you hear waves instead of music. Because it sits a few steps farther from the bars and pools, it stays quiet and relaxing throughout the day. It’s perfect for reading, playing in the sand, or simply letting the rise and fall of the surf set the pace for your morning. For maximum space and the best selection of loungers, walk all the way to the far end of Chill Beach before settling in.

Chill Beach is known for its wide expanse of natural sand.
Pools & party energy
Moving east from Chill Beach, the first pool you’ll reach is the Shallow End Pool, a zero‑entry, family‑friendly spot where kids of all ages splash comfortably while adults relax nearby. It’s a natural midpoint—close to the quiet of Chill Beach but still within reach of the island’s more energetic areas.
Continue walking and you’ll feel the energy rise as you enter Party Cove, the high‑octane heart of the island. This is where you’ll find the Floating Flamingo Pool and the world’s largest swim‑up bar, along with a private party deck overlooking the ocean. A DJ keeps the music going all day, and flamingo dancers appear throughout the afternoon to keep the vibe festive. It’s bold, bright, and unapologetically social—the exact opposite of Chill Beach—and perfect for guests who want to be in the center of the action.
Just beyond Party Cove, the atmosphere softens again as you reach the Deep End Pool, a stunning infinity pool with sweeping ocean views and its own swim‑up bar. Couples and groups gather along the pool’s edge with frozen cocktails, watching the waves roll in and soaking up the sun. It’s lively but not loud, and the whole scene makes a gorgeous backdrop for vacation photos.

Paradise Beach
At the easternmost end of the property, you’ll arrive at Paradise Beach, where waves crash dramatically onto the shore. The sand is imported and the waterline has some rocky patches, but the views are beautiful and loungers are plentiful. This is the most convenient beach for guests who want to be only steps from the ocean and all the nearby bars, pools, and restrooms. And just like on Chill Beach, heading to the far end gives you the best chance of finding your perfect lounger spot.

Food & drink
Food is included in your beach day, and the Paradise Grill serves a recently expanded mix of tropical flavors, seafood favorites, and familiar classics. The Island Crab Sandwich and Shrimp on a Stick are standouts, and be sure to ask for an extra helping of the bright, crunchy tropical coleslaw—it goes with everything. If you’re not a sandwich person, order a crispy fish filet without the bun and pair it with a tropical salad (with or without lobster). The combination of hot, crispy fish and cool, punchy salad comes together as a delicious DIY seafood bowl.
Drinks are delivered right to your lounger, whether you’re sipping a tropical cocktail or choosing from the island’s excellent lineup of zero‑proof frozen drinks like piña colada, Goombay Smash, and strawberry daiquiri. Bars open early, and food and ice cream typically begin around 10:30 a.m., so arriving in the early to mid‑morning ensures full amenities, the best selection of loungers, and the smoothest start to your day.

You're never far from one of the three Paradise Grill locations at Royal Beach Club.
A couple takeaways
One thing to skip: snorkeling. All beaches face the open ocean, and the waves stir up the sand, creating low visibility and challenging conditions. Save the snorkel gear for another port and enjoy the beach club for what it does best—relaxation, food, and sun.
For one last signature moment before heading back, don’t leave without the pineapple soft serve. Ask for it in a cup instead of a cone and enjoy it on the ferry ride back to the ship.
Need to know
A quick note for your return to the ship: the ferry brings you back to the amphitheater end of the Nassau port, not the same dock where you boarded earlier. From there, it’s about a 10–15 minute walk back to the ship. You’ll pass through the shopping area and a quick security checkpoint, so it’s smart to factor this walk into your timing—especially if you like to cut it close or want a few extra minutes to browse the shops on the way.
