Where to stay in Rome

We had a wonderful stay at the Trianon Borgo Pio residence hotel in Rome, perfectly located near the Vatican with easy access to St. Peter's Basilica. The hotel's proximity to the Vatican allowed for a more private experience, yet we were still within walking distance to the main hub with its many restaurants and shops.

Rooftop breakfast area

The hotel was ideal for our family of eight, with two spacious rooms that each had two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a large terrace with stunning views of the Vatican. The rooftop breakfast area, which doubles as a bar in the evening, offered beautiful views and a delicious complimentary breakfast with multiple choices.

Living area in one of the rooms

The staff were accommodating, friendly, and accessible, helping us with everything from organizing cabs to assisting with our bags. While the elevator was a bit tight, it was a minor detail in the grand scheme of things, especially given the hotel's beautiful surroundings.

Views of St. Peter's Basilica from our terrace

Overall, I highly recommend the Trianon Borgo Pio residence hotel for its excellent location, spacious rooms, and exceptional service. It was the perfect base for our family vacation in Rome, and we loved being surrounded by the city's history and beauty.
