Solo in Amsterdam
Curator’s statement

In April 2023, I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Pulitzer. It has been my dream to stay at this unique property since my first visit to Amsterdam seven years ago. I was fortunate to be given a site visit during a very busy time. The hotel staff were key in making my stay the most enjoyable. I would highly recommend Hotel Pulitzer to my clients.

Hotel Pulitzer is a luxury hotel unique to Amsterdam. It consists of 25 canal houses connected by a maze of passages between two of Amsterdam’s most well-known canals. The hotel is perfect for every type of guest, from a solo traveler to family-friendly.

I traveled to Amsterdam on a bit of a whim to see Bruce Springsteen. I was not disappointed in the hotel’s central location to the treasures Amsterdam holds, such as the Anne Frank House and the Rijksmuseum.

Hotel Pulitzer also offers the ability to rent their 1909 gorgeous salon boat for a canal cruise.

There are boutiques, restaurants and buildings that look to be straight from a postcard as you stroll or bike down the canals.

I cannot recommend Hotel Pulitzer and Amsterdam enough. Hotel Pulitzer is ideal for any type of traveler. The Hotel also offers meeting and event spaces. The bar made one of the best dirty martinis I’ve had and I enjoyed breakfast at Restaurant Janz each morning. Hotel Pulitzer is the complete package where you are treated like royalty in a City where your memories will last a lifetime.
