From the moment I arrived at Hotel Greystone, I felt fully immersed in Miami’s signature energy—vibrant, stylish, and effortlessly cool. Housed in a beautifully restored Art Deco building, the hotel blends historic character with a modern, design-forward edge. The atmosphere feels social yet elevated, with a natural indoor-outdoor flow that makes it easy to settle into the rhythm of Miami Beach.

A celebratory welcome—champagne waiting in-room for my birthday arrival

A sleek, artful lobby that sets the tone upon arrival.
I had the opportunity to stay in one of the loft-style rooms, thanks to a complimentary upgrade based on availability, and it completely elevated the experience. The space felt expansive and airy, with high ceilings, a separate living area, and a layout that made it feel more like a private residence than a standard hotel room. It maintained the same sleek, curated design throughout, but with added room to unwind—striking that perfect balance between style and comfort.

Minimalist design meets elevated comfort in the bathroom space.
I found myself gravitating toward the rooftop, which quickly became one of my favorite spots on property. During the day, it had a relaxed, sun-drenched vibe, and by sunset it shifted into something more energetic and social. With music, cocktails, and views of the city, it captured that quintessential Miami feeling—effortless, a little indulgent, and undeniably fun.
The location made everything feel seamless. Being just steps from the beach and within walking distance to some of Miami Beach’s best restaurants, shops, and nightlife meant I could explore without overplanning. I could spend the morning by the ocean, wander through the neighborhood in the afternoon, and head out for the night—all without ever feeling far from home base.
What stood out most to me was how the experience felt both curated and authentic. It wasn’t just a place to stay, but a place that reflected the spirit of Miami itself—bold, design-driven, and full of life.

A casual yet curated spot for coffee, conversation, and a quick bite.

Need to know
Best time to visit: Miami Beach is a year-round destination, but the sweet spot is between December and April, when the weather is warm, sunny, and less humid. This is peak season, so expect a lively atmosphere and higher rates. Shoulder months like May and November offer a great balance of good weather and fewer crowds, while summer brings heat, humidity, and a more relaxed, local feel—plus better value.
Getting around: Staying at Hotel Greystone makes it easy to explore on foot. The beach, restaurants, shopping, and nightlife are all within walking distance. For longer distances, rideshares are quick and reliable, and biking along the boardwalk is a great way to take in the coastline. Renting a car isn’t necessary unless you plan to explore beyond Miami Beach.
Dining and local highlights: The area surrounding the hotel is packed with standout dining, from upscale restaurants to casual cafés and late-night spots. I recommend making reservations in advance, especially on weekends. Spend time exploring the Art Deco Historic District, walking Ocean Drive, and relaxing on the beach just minutes away. Sunset cocktails are a must—whether on the rooftop or at one of the many nearby hotspots.
Packing tips: Think light, breathable, and effortlessly stylish—Miami leans into a polished but relaxed look. Swimwear, sunglasses, and sunscreen are essentials, along with comfortable shoes for walking. For evenings, dress up a bit—especially if you plan to go out, as many places have a more elevated nightlife dress code.
Who this trip is for: This stay is ideal for those who want to tap into Miami’s social energy while still having a boutique, design-forward place to come back to. It’s especially suited for couples, friends, and anyone who appreciates a mix of beach time, nightlife, and stylish surroundings.
Whether you’re spending your days by the ocean, exploring the neighborhood, or easing into the night with cocktails and music, Hotel Greystone offers a seamless way to experience Miami Beach at its most vibrant.
