Fairmont Scottsdale Princess: Highlighting Privado Villas
Curator’s statement

I've been to the Privado Villas at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess several times, and it's my favorite way to experience the resort. Tucked away from the energy of the main property, the villas provide a peaceful, exclusive atmosphere that feels like a private retreat while still offering access to all of the resort's incredible amenities. While the accommodations are undeniably upscale, the Privado Villas remain welcoming for families, making them an ideal choice for anyone seeking the balance of tranquility and effortless indulgence.

Where to stay

Tucked within the iconic Fairmont Scottsdale Princess, Privado Villas offer a boutique luxury experience that feels worlds away from the energy of the larger resort while providing access to every one of its celebrated amenities. From the moment you arrive, you’re welcomed into the private Privado Lobby for a personalized check-in, where your stay begins with a choice of champagne, wine, craft beer, or sparkling water. Throughout the day, light refreshments are available in the lobby, and the dedicated Privado Experience Concierge is on hand to curate every detail before and during your stay—from dinner reservations to spa appointments and personalized requests. It’s a level of service that feels effortless, allowing you to simply settle in and enjoy the experience.

The accommodations themselves are designed to feel like a private retreat. Choose from beautifully appointed studio suites or spacious one-bedroom suites, each blending sleek contemporary design with warm, inviting finishes that feel sophisticated without sacrificing comfort. Deep soaking tubs, Le Labo bath amenities, and thoughtfully curated touches create a spa-like atmosphere, while Nespresso machines complete with milk frothers bring the café experience to your morning routine. Your refrigerator can even be stocked with your favorite beverages and snacks before arrival, ensuring every detail is waiting exactly as you’d like it. The villa-style buildings, each home to just five to ten suites, create an intimate residential feel that is especially appealing for multigenerational family vacations, golf trips, and celebrations with friends. Connecting studio and one-bedroom suites make it easy for families to stay together while still enjoying plenty of personal space, and groups can often reserve an entire villa building, creating a private retreat all their own.

Life at Privado unfolds at an unhurried pace. Spend the afternoon beside the exclusive Privado Pool or indulge in the tranquility of the 44,000-square-foot Well & Being Spa, where Privado guests enjoy complimentary daily access. Wellness enthusiasts will appreciate that the spa is also home to the Sisley Paris Spa, one of only three locations in the United States to offer Sisley’s coveted Parisian skincare treatments and luxurious botanical facials. It’s an experience that draws spa lovers from around the country and elevates an already exceptional wellness program. Privado Villas also offer their own private pool and fire-pits for those who want to continue to relax away from the energy and excitement of Fairmont Scottsdale Princess.

For stays of two nights or more, a generous $250 daily resort credit invites you to experience even more, whether that’s an unforgettable meal, a restorative treatment at the Well & Being Spa or Sisley Paris Spa, or a little retail therapy throughout the resort. As the day winds down, gather for the daily charcuterie hour before stepping onto the lobby patio overlooking the famed TPC Scottsdale Stadium Course. Home to the legendary WM Phoenix Open, the course provides a spectacular backdrop where golfers make their way down the fairways beneath Arizona’s brilliant desert sunsets—a view that is every bit as memorable as the tournament itself.

While Privado feels delightfully secluded, guests enjoy full access to everything that has made the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess one of the Southwest’s premier luxury resorts. Spend your days exploring six pools (one with sand imported from Miami!), dining at four acclaimed restaurants, browsing the resort’s boutiques, or taking advantage of the countless seasonal experiences, family activities, and championship golf that make every visit unique. I highly recommend Christmas at the Princess, an award winning festival that features 16 million lights, real snow, and themed beverages. Whether you’re planning a romantic escape, a rejuvenating spa retreat, a golf getaway, or a multigenerational family vacation, Privado offers the perfect balance of exclusivity and connection to one of Arizona’s most celebrated destinations.

Booking through me enhances the experience even further. In addition to every exclusive Privado amenity, you’ll receive a collection of preferred partner benefits designed to make your stay even more rewarding. You’ll enjoy a one-category room upgrade upon arrival (subject to availability), complimentary early check-in and late check-out, an $82 daily breakfast credit, and a one-time $100 credit to enjoy either an indulgent spa treatment or dinner at one of the resort’s renowned restaurants. These exclusive privileges, combined with personalized planning and concierge-level service before you arrive, ensure your Scottsdale getaway is as seamless as it is unforgettable.

Need to know

If you’re planning a trip to Scottsdale for the WM Phoenix Open or Cactus League Spring Training, I highly recommend booking your stay well in advance. These are two of the area’s busiest seasons, and the best accommodations tend to fill up quickly.
