Palm Springs Family Fun at The Hyatt Regency Indian Wells
Curator’s statement

In Summer 2023 as part of a Southern California excursion, I was fortunate enough to find an Oasis in the middle of the Desert in the Hyatt Regency Indian Wells. Truly a resort for everyone, I found few reasons to venture off the property over the three days as a guest there. And yes, the water slide is for adults too!

The Hyatt Regency in Indian Wells is a lively, family friendly resort and part of the perky Hyatt Prive program. Upon check-in, I was gifted a complimentary upgrade to a Deluxe room. While I was already excited to utilize the $100 property credit, I was also presented with a welcome amenity of $50 to the Citrus Marketplace, which features beverages, snacks, coffee and fresh grab-n-go bites.

We were provided with elastic wristbands that doubled as the room key, making it possible to hit the pool with nothing but our phones and sunglasses. The pool area is nothing less than a full functioning water park, with a dueling water slide, lazy river, standard family pool, fountains and an Adults Only oasis. The cabanas were tempting, but we were able to find lounge chairs without issue. The poolside Roadrunner Cafe offers convenient platters for easy family dining and the Oasis Bar comes directly to you in the form of friendly roaming service staff.

The top-tier dining options on-site were the ultimate convenience. We enjoyed açai bowls and iced coffee for breakfast each morning at Lantana for a delicious, cool start to a hot day. Agave Sunset bar was the perfect mid-afternoon break from the pool, tempting us in with their extensive tequila selection and array of unique cocktails. In the evening, Lantana morphs into a California Gastropub, offering local and sustainable options, a nice selection of which are vegan friendly.

We enjoyed the 24/7 fitness center during our stay, utilizing the Peloton bikes, weight machines and Barre studio. The property also includes a tennis and pickleball court, Agua Serena Spa and complementary cruiser bike rental. Finally, the resort provides easy access to the 36-hole Indian Wells Golf Resort. Overall, this property is surely a hole in one for the whole family.

Hyatt Indian Wells Resort is a family friendly hot spot with plenty of on-site activities and amenities to keep everyone busy. Get in touch and let me help you setup your perfect family vacation!
