Once inside the resort grounds at Puri Santrian, we noticed just how green and spacious it felt. The gardens really stood out; winding paths, tall palms, little koi ponds, and tucked-away corners made it feel more like a tropical home than a typical resort. It’s the kind of place where you naturally slow down and appreciate your beautiful surroundings.

One of the first things we noticed at Puri Santrian was the incredible and ornate entrance to the resort, and the lush gardens and greenery throughout. (Image provided by Puri Santrian)

We loved how naturally the Balinese culture is integrated into the experience. You see it in the stone carvings, the small shrines throughout the property, and the open-air design that blends everything together.

The location on Sanur Beach is another highlight. It’s a much calmer side of Bali, which we really appreciated, but still easily accessible by taxi or private car to the rest of the island. Right outside, there’s a long stretch of beach with loungers and a paved path that’s perfect for walking or biking. After a day of activity in the area or around the island, we loved arriving back at our resort and heading out on afternoon walks, checking out nearby cafés and casual seafood spots on the beach.

Most taxing decision of the day: Should we lounge at the beautiful beach, or by the pool? Maybe both! (Image provided by Puri Santrian)

What stood out overall is that there’s a space for whatever kind of experience you want. You can relax or be social by the pool, have cocktails at the beach bar and listen to live music, or you can just as easily find a quiet corner in the gardens and have it completely to yourself. It felt easy, relaxed, and restorative.

There was a wonderful mix of fresh fruit and both Western and Asian options in the expansive breakfast buffet. We sat drinking our coffee at the tables on the beach, taking in the morning ocean breeze. (Image provided by Puri Santrian)
