From the moment we arrived at Grand Velas Los Cabos, we knew we were in for a luxurious stay. The resort’s stunning open-air lobby welcomed us with panoramic ocean views, and the service was impeccable from the start. We were greeted with refreshing welcome drinks and a cool towel, and within minutes, our personal butler escorted us to the Grand Class Ocean Front suite.

As we opened the door, our jaws dropped at the view of the Sea of Cortez. The expansive 1,600 sq. ft suite provides space to relax and recharge during our couples getaway. The private plunge pool on the balcony provides a nice place to relax with your morning coffee. Room service was exceptional. This truly was one of the best hotel rooms I have stayed in.
One of the biggest standouts at Grand Velas is the exceptional dining experience. From the table-side tomahawk steak at Velas 10 to a Michelin Star 10-Course tasting menu and wine pairing, Cocina de Autor made it hard to believe it was an all-inclusive.
The adults infinity pool overlooking the ocean was our go-to spot during the day. Service was top-notch, with attendants offering refreshing drinks, snacks and even complimentary sunscreen. Imagine sipping on a mezcalita while enjoying fresh ahi tuna, all while looking out at the beautiful ocean.
The SE Spa at Grand Velas is one of the best we’ve ever experienced. We booked a couple’s massage, which started with a seven-step hydrotherapy circuit featuring saunas, steam rooms and hot/cold plunge pools. The massage itself was pure bliss, leaving us completely relaxed and rejuvenated.
While we spent most of our time unwinding, we did enjoy a few resort activities, including:
Tequila and mezcal tasting: A fun and educational experience guided by an expert and hat painting with the activities team.
Final thoughts: Worth every penny
Grand Velas Los Cabos exceeded our expectations in every way possible. From the luxurious accommodations to the gourmet dining and world-class service, it’s truly a five-star experience that is worth every penny. Whether you’re looking for a romantic getaway, a honeymoon destination or just a luxurious escape, this resort delivers on every level.
Would we return? Absolutely. Grand Velas Los Cabos is now one of our favorite luxury resorts, and we can’t wait to experience it again.
