Azur Legacy Collection Hotel: Downtown Vancouver, BC
Curator’s statement

First, this hotel is absolutely gorgeous, brand new, and charmingly elegant. Second, it is right in the middle of downtown Vancouver and walking distance to anything you would want to see, from the business district to the waterfront to the entertainment district to the best restaurants. Lastly, it has one of the few rooftop deck restaurants in the city—an opportunity to see Vancouver as you never have before, from amongst the high rises.

Beautiful Vancouver, BC, Canada

Hotel features

The Parisian-style sidewalk cafe Dahlia serves breakfast, lunch, and cocktails under an elegant chandelier.

The rooftop restaurant Levantine specializes in artfully created cocktails, interesting takes on Middle Eastern food, an Instagram-worthy view of the city, and an outdoor deck with a soothing water feature.

Under an arrangement with the neighboring Robert Lee YMCA pool, one block away, guests who book through me can access 18,000 feet of workout space, the 25-yard indoor UV-filtered pool, three fitness studios for yoga and cyclefit, and fitness classes. No other hotel comes close to having facilities like this!

Room features

The hotel was rebuilt from the ground up to exacting standards about two years ago, and so has very cutting-edge room features, including a perfect bed, queens or king—no rollaway cots anywhere! With the flip of a switch from your bed, you can operate the curtains as well as activate "Do Not Disturb" or "Make Room Up" notifications outside the front door.

The mini bar is complete with not just wine glasses and a corkscrew, but martini glasses as well. The bathroom offers slippers, robes, a huge LED-lit mirror plus a cosmetic mirror, gorgeous baths or showers, and walk-in closets. A discerning touch is evident in every detail.

Busy downtown core, Vancouver, BC, Canada

Need to know

Because the hotel is right in the middle of downtown Vancouver, a short stroll out the doors can take you to the stock exchange, one of the largest malls in BC (Pacific Centre), the super-high-end shops of Robson Street (think Chanel, Gucci, and many more), the waterfront at Canada Place to watch float planes take off and land, the seabus criss-crossing over to North Vancouver, the stadiums that feature the Vancouver Canucks NHL hockey team and the BC Lions Canadian Football league team, the bar district down Granville Street, Vancouver Art Gallery, the old-time cobbled streets of Gastown—it goes on and on!
