My experience at Amanera was truly extraordinary. From the moment we landed in the Dominican Republic, we were warmly greeted and seamlessly escorted by a resort staff member. The exceptional service continued throughout our stay, ensuring a genuine five-star experience. The property itself was stunning, the food was outstanding and the atmosphere was incredibly peaceful.

Where to stay in the Dominican Republic

I recommend staying at least three to four nights at Amanera to fully immerse yourself in the experience. With two on-site restaurants offering rotating menus, you'll have a variety of dining options to enjoy. Don’t miss the lounge bar — it’s a standout feature of the property, with incredible drinks and views that you simply can't miss. I looked forward to happy hour there every evening!

Lobby and lounge bar; Go on a nature hike and have breakfast in this tree house.

Additionally, be sure to visit the spa at least once during your stay. The welcome ritual and herbal tea are just the start of a truly rejuvenating experience. I enjoyed my treatment so much that I ended up booking another appointment on my final day.

I highly recommend Amanera for couples seeking a honeymoon, babymoon, anniversary or simply a special getaway. I’m already dreaming of returning!

Need to know

If you're interested in experiencing some of the resort's activities, I highly recommend the jungle breakfast hike, the kayak eco tour and the rum tasting.
