Curator’s statement
Setting out to celebrate a cherished sorority milestone, my girlfriends and I jetted off to the newly unveiled Hyatt Grand Vivid in Cancun, Mexico. Nestled within the serene enclave of Grand Island, overlooking the tranquil Nichupte Lagoon, this adults-only sanctuary promised an escape into Mayan and bohemian-inspired luxury.

Right off the bat, Hyatt Grand Vivid had us hooked with its charm. From the expansive rooftop infinity pool to its breezy open-air lobbies and dining spots, every corner oozed a cool vibe that we couldn’t resist.
With a whopping four hundred suites to choose from, we were ready for a getaway filled with comfort and indulgence. Since this hotel is brand new, some of its restaurants were not yet open, but we thoroughly enjoyed each meal we had at the available options. We hope to return again, to try even more delicious bites at the restaurants that we weren't able to dine at this time around.

The rooms were all beautifully designed and spacious, exceeding our expectations in terms of decor. If any issues presented themselves to us during our stay, the staff and management stepped in to clear things up, readily tending to our requests.

Certain amenities were not yet available, such as the spa, but that just means that we will have to make another trip back, as I'm sure once its up and running, it will not disappoint!
Need to know
Looking back, it’s clear that Hyatt Grand Vivid is on the cusp of something great. All good things in life are worth the wait, so if you are itching to pack your bags and hit this new and exciting hotel up, I'd give it a bit more time first, to make sure all of the restaurants, amenities, etc. are up and running first. However, when that day comes, I will be happy to book and plan your visit to the Hyatt Vivid Grand Island in Cancun, Mexico.
