Curator’s statement
The Maldives is such a special destination to me. It feels like stepping into a dream — one where time slows down and the world softens. There’s something about waking up to the sound of gentle waves, walking barefoot on powdery white sand and watching the sun set into the ocean every evening that just sticks with you. It's not just the beauty, though — it's the feeling. The quiet moments, the stillness, the sense that you're completely present. I’ve made some of my favorite memories here, whether it was snorkeling upon the house reef, sipping coffee on the overwater bungalow or just doing absolutely nothing and loving every second of it. The Maldives reminds me what it feels like to really breathe, really relax and just be alive. And that’s something I’ll always go back for.

If you're dreaming of a true escape — turquoise waters, powdery white sand and total luxury — Conrad Maldives Rangali Island delivers on every front. This resort isn’t just a destination, it’s an experience. Spanning two private islands connected by a footbridge, the resort gives you the sense of being in your own exclusive slice of paradise. It’s the kind of place where time slows down and every detail feels curated to make your stay unforgettable.

Family pool
One of the standout features of Conrad Maldives is The Muraka, the world’s first undersea villa. Yes, undersea! Imagine waking up with 180-degree views of marine life swimming around you. Even if you're not staying in The Muraka, the resort’s iconic Ithaa Undersea Restaurant lets you dine beneath the ocean too — it's a bucket-list experience you won’t stop talking about. Add to that the resort’s dreamy overwater villas, private plunge pools and open-air baths, and you've got a romantic or restorative getaway like no other.

Overwater bungalow
Now let’s talk about the spa — because it’s a whole experience on its own. The staff will escort you to one of the two spas on the property, but The Spa Retreat is hands-down my favorite. It feels tucked away and tranquil, set right over the water. I treated myself to a 60-minute custom massage and was completely blissed out by the time it ended — nothing but the sound of the ocean and endless water views to lull you into relaxation. And here’s a fun detail: even the private bathroom in your spa suite is open-air with jaw-dropping ocean views. Who knew “doing your business” could come with such a scenic backdrop? It’s quirky, unexpected and just adds to the magic of the experience.

Bridgeway to spa heaven
Dining at Conrad Maldives is a whole adventure of its own, and we had two unforgettable evenings that truly stood out. First, the Lobster and Champagne BBQ — a dreamy beachfront dinner under the stars. Yes, it’s exactly what it sounds like: unlimited lobster and free-flowing champagne. Live music set the mood, soft candlelight danced on the tables and the service was absolutely impeccable — your glass was never empty, and the vibes were just perfect. It was indulgent in the best way.

Ithaa Undersea Restaurant viewing hour
Our second favorite dinner was the Wine Cellar Dinner, which felt like a secret, intimate event. It’s a limited-seating, five-course culinary experience with expert wine pairings in an enclosed cellar below sea level. Definitely bring a light jacket or shawl — it's chilly down there! But the cozy setting and thoughtfully curated pairings made it feel really special. Even better? We ended up making lifelong friends during that dinner — fellow travelers who also love good food, great wine and new experiences. It was one of those magical travel moments you never quite forget.

Happy hour
And for those traveling with kids — Conrad Maldives really does a great job catering to families, too. They offer a Kids’ Club known as the Majaa Explorers Hub and a Teen Club called Furaavaru, both open daily from 9 am to 6 pm. These aren’t just basic babysitting services — they’re packed with fun, age-appropriate activities that change each day, from creative crafts to beach adventures. It’s peace of mind for parents and pure fun for the little (and not-so-little) ones.
What I really love about this resort is the balance — it’s luxurious but never stuffy and is considered a barefoot resort. You can indulge in spa treatments like I did, take a sunrise yoga class or hop on a sunset dolphin cruise. For foodies, the dining options are incredibly diverse, from barefoot beach barbecues to fine dining with global flair. The service is warm and attentive, and the staff really go the extra mile to make you feel at home — whether you’re honeymooning, traveling with family or celebrating a special milestone.

An amazing welcome from the Conrad!
If you’re someone who appreciates the finer things but also craves that raw, natural beauty and serenity, Conrad Maldives is a perfect match. It’s ideal for couples looking for romance, families seeking adventure and connection and even solo travelers wanting some soulful solitude. It’s not just a vacation — it’s a chance to live out your most luxurious island fantasy.
