Curator’s statement
Puntacana Resort & Club is a quiet, private side of Punta Cana that feels different from the usual resorts. The villas are spacious and staffed, so you can focus on relaxing or spending time with your group. I liked that it combines privacy with easy access to activities like beach clubs, golf, tennis, and the nature reserve. It is a place where you can do as much or as little as you want.

Swimming at the cenote
Getting to the resort is simple. Punta Cana Airport is about 10 minutes away. Once you are inside the gates, it feels separate from the busy tourist areas. The villas are large and open, with private chefs, housekeepers, and a house manager in most of them.
The golf carts are very useful. The resort covers a lot of ground, and having a cart makes it easy to get to the beach, restaurants, or the clubhouse. The villas themselves are well-designed with multiple bedrooms and open-air living spaces, so there is room to gather or have some privacy.

La Cana Beach Club
The resort has a calm, understated vibe. La Cana Clubhouse has a pool, casual dining, and beach access with service. Golf courses like La Cana and Corales are well-maintained and enjoyable. Racquet sports are available at Oscar de la Renta Tennis Center with tennis, padel, and pickleball courts. The tennis center partners with LUX Tennis to boost the tennis player experience.

Rhinoceros Iguana's at OJOS INDIGENAS
The Indigenous Eyes Ecological Reserve is worth a visit. It has trails, freshwater lagoons, and swimming spots that feel more secluded than the usual Punta Cana attractions. Overall, this is a good choice for families, groups, or anyone who wants a quieter, more private experience without giving up comfort or service.
