Curator’s statement
I visited Conrad Orlando in May 2026 as part of the FORA Momentum event and left with a clearer sense of what luxury in Orlando can actually look like when someone makes a real commitment to it. For years, the city has been defined by spectacle over substance at the top of the market, and Conrad Evermore corrects that with a level of design intelligence and operational care I did not expect to find this close to a theme park corridor. Fifty-three commissioned art pieces move through the building with genuine intention, the grounds are managed by an on-site horticulturist, the kids' club is built around Florida's natural history rather than distraction, and Evermore Bay—an eight-acre crystalline lagoon with complimentary kayaks, a rope swing, and a white-sand beach—makes the case that a family holiday to Orlando does not require a single afternoon by a standard hotel pool. This is the property I have been waiting to recommend to clients who want proximity to the parks without any compromise on where they actually sleep.

The property
The Conrad Orlando announces itself before you reach the front desk. Suspended above the lobby entrance is the polished walnut hull of a vintage Chris Craft boat—inverted, lit from within, demanding your attention. It is one of 53 commissioned art pieces that move through the building with the kind of intention that keeps you looking as you walk. Opened in 2024 within the Evermore Bay development on the eastern boundary of Walt Disney World, Conrad Orlando is not a theme park hotel, and it is not trying to be. It is a property that happens to be well-positioned for park access while maintaining the design standards and operational detail of a serious luxury hotel.
Food & drink
The five dining outlets reward some advance thought. Ceiba, on the seventh-floor rooftop, is the signature—contemporary Mexican led by Chef Stephen Ullrich, with Disney fireworks visible from the terrace on clear evenings. Reservations are required and should be made at least 48 hours ahead; the kitchen does not hold tables on the night. Sophia's Trattoria handles Southern Italian across breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and converts into a full buffet with a live egg station on weekends—easily one of the better hotel breakfasts I have encountered. Papaya Club sits at the water's edge, serving rum-focused cocktails and light bites throughout the day in a vintage tiki atmosphere that opens directly onto the beach. Apero rounds out the evening drinking options, and Little Spoon Café covers daytime grab-and-go—pastries, gelato, coffee, and breakfast sandwiches—though it closes at 8 p.m., which is worth knowing for late arrivals.
Beyond the Conrad's own outlets, guests also have access to Evermore's Twin View Restaurant and The Landing Food Hall, which expands the options considerably for families staying multiple nights.
Accommodation

The king bedroom in a Conrad suite, with a watercolor-wash mural anchoring the headboard wall.
The room I keep returning to in my thinking is the family suite—and Conrad has only 10 of them, which is the first thing I tell any guest with children who is considering the property. Custom bunk-bed alcoves sit behind pocket doors in a dedicated sleeping alcove, which means the main living area remains adult and calm once children are settled. The children's welcome amenity—plush Jellycat-style bunnies propped beside Conrad-branded activity books—was the first thing I photographed on arrival. It is not a gesture. It is the sign of a hotel that has thought carefully about what traveling with children actually requires, rather than simply accounting for it.

Conrad's children's welcome amenity—Jellycat-style plush bunnies and branded activity books—in a two-room suite.
The Kids Club extends that thinking further: the program is built around Florida's natural biodiversity and history, designed to foster curiosity rather than simply occupy time—a meaningful distinction. For those needing more configuration, the property offers a one-bedroom-with-connector option; ground-floor family suites have direct private patio access. Standard rooms average 440 square feet—well proportioned at the entry level, with nothing cut short.

Travertine finishes and pendant lighting in a standard guest bathroom—well-proportioned and carefully detailed at the entry level.
Evermore Bay
Then there is Evermore Bay, which deserves its own paragraph. The lagoon spans 8 acres—equivalent to 100 standard swimming pools—and uses crystalline rather than chlorine or salt filtration, which keeps the water genuinely clear and the environment notably gentle on the skin. It is the largest private lagoon in Orlando, and access is reserved exclusively for overnight resort guests; there are no day passes. Complimentary single and double kayaks are available on a first-come, first-served basis at Dockside Outfitters, alongside paddleboards. The Blue Hole rope swing, a wide family water slide, zero-entry swim zones, overwater cabanas, and a white-sand beach complete the picture. For those who have been considering a beach destination and ruled out Orlando on those grounds, Evermore Bay is a genuine conversation-changer.

A pool-view balcony with the Italian-designed Qeeboo bunny chair—a detail that captures the property's balance of wit and seriousness.
The spa
The spa operates on a model worth understanding before you arrive: a treatment booking is required for access to the 12,000-square-foot water garden, vitality pool, and hot/cold plunge—there are no day passes. Once you understand the intention, it makes complete sense; the atmosphere is genuinely calm as a result. The vitality pool draws from the Floridan Aquifer, which supplies roughly 80% of Florida's drinking water and is naturally high in magnesium and other minerals. Treatments are built around Florida citrus and locally sourced botanicals. The 24-hour fitness center includes Peloton bikes, TRX bands, and free weights; both locker rooms offer a sauna and steam room.

Golf
For those who play golf, the Evermore property offers something genuinely worth mentioning in the same breath as the hotel: Grand Cypress Golf, comprising two Jack Nicklaus-designed courses—the Cypress Course and the Links Course—for 36 holes of championship play. The Links Course is Nicklaus' tribute to the Old Course at St Andrews, set in an open meadow with double greens, stone bridges and walls, gorse mounds, and pot bunkers as deep as 12 feet. The Cypress Course takes a parkland approach, with water coming into play on 13 of 18 holes and a redesigned island-green par 3 at the third—already generating strong word of mouth.
Conrad Orlando guests receive preferred rates and the ability to book tee times well in advance of their stay, which matters on a course that books out. A dedicated golf package for Conrad guests is expected to launch in the near term—well worth noting for anyone looking to combine a park itinerary with a morning or two on the course.
The grounds & sustainability

The horticulturist-managed grounds at Conrad Orlando, backed by Florida pinewoods—a view that reads private estate rather than theme park corridor.
What I found most unexpected was the quality of the grounds. The on-site horticulturist is not a designation—it is visible in the landscape. Native plantings, curated palm groves, and a view of Florida pinewoods beyond the pool garden make it easy to forget the highway and park corridors are nearby. Standing on a balcony and looking at that treeline, this reads as a private retreat rather than an Orlando resort. The ownership group has a genuine sustainability mandate, and it shows in material choices as much as landscaping decisions.
Satu, the signature upscale Mexican restaurant, is reached by an external elevator—a quietly eccentric detail that becomes a conversation every time. The Tipu Lounge manages arrivals and departures with care, though guests who rely on a traditional club lounge benefit should know that Conrad Orlando does not offer one.
Need to know
Evermore Bay
Evermore Bay is exclusive to overnight resort guests—there are no day passes and no exceptions. Complimentary kayaks and paddleboards are first-come, first-served at Dockside Outfitters, so early mornings on the water are the most reliable window, particularly during peak periods. Private overwater cabanas can be reserved in advance and are worth booking at the time of accommodation for those who want guaranteed shade and dedicated service.
Kids Club
The Kids Club is a separately bookable amenity and does not operate as an open-access facility. Confirm availability and scheduling directly with the hotel before arrival, particularly during school holiday periods when demand is highest.
Family suites
The ten family suites are the property's most sought-after category and the most difficult to secure around school holidays, spring break, and any major Disney park event window. Book them at the point of deposit rather than as a later add-on—availability closes quickly and the configuration cannot be replicated elsewhere in the building. If the family suites are unavailable, the one-bedroom-with-connector is a thoughtful alternative—ask about it when making your reservation.
Club lounge
Guests who rely on Hilton Honors club lounge access should be prepared for a different experience here. The Tipu Lounge handles check-in and departure moments with warmth, but it does not function as an all-day retreat, and there is no club floor. Worth knowing in advance so there are no surprises at check-in.
Spa
The spa access model—treatment required, no day passes—is worth knowing before you arrive. For those who intend to use the water garden and vitality pool regularly, planning treatments across multiple days is the approach to take. The aquifer-sourced mineral content of the vitality pool is a detail worth understanding before you arrive—it is not marketing language, and it makes the experience genuinely distinctive.
Golf
Grand Cypress Golf is bookable directly through the resort, and Conrad guests receive both preferred rates and advance booking privileges—a meaningful advantage on courses that fill quickly. A dedicated Conrad golf package is expected to launch in the near term. A new Pro Shop is also coming to the resort in Summer 2026.
Getting there
Orlando International Airport (MCO) is the gateway. Pre-arranged private transfers are worth considering for those traveling with children and luggage, given the distance from the main terminal to the Evermore Bay complex. For those combining Walt Disney World with Universal Orlando, a minimum of one full day per major park is the approach to take—and a day at Conrad's pool as a deliberate recovery beat in between is, from experience, one the parks simply cannot compete with.
