Curator’s statement
I recently sailed through Alaska with my dad on a seven-night Norwegian Cruise. This journey is filled with breathtaking scenery, exceptional dining, and heartfelt moments. From Juneau to Skagway, Ketchikan, and Victoria, every destination offered awe-inspiring views and seamless accessibility. Norwegian’s attentive staff made the experience unforgettable, proving that adventure and comfort can beautifully coexist. This trip was a reminder that travel is more than seeing new places; it’s about creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Our seven-night Alaskan cruise with Norwegian was nothing short of spectacular. We set sail on a journey that combined breathtaking scenery, heartfelt memories, and the kind of comfort and service that makes traveling effortless. Each destination—Juneau, Skagway, Ketchikan, and Victoria, British Columbia—offered a unique slice of beauty and adventure. From watching glaciers drift by to exploring quaint port towns and taking the scenic train ride, everything reminded us why Alaska is often called “The Last Frontier.”
The natural beauty of Alaska was truly mesmerizing. Towering mountains, crystal-blue ice fields, and endless stretches of coastline created postcard-perfect views at every turn. We were fortunate to have great weather, which made balcony mornings and deck views even more magical. Eagle and whale sightings, charming local shops, and the peaceful rhythm of the sea all added to the sense of wonder throughout the trip.

Dining onboard was another highlight. Norwegian’s upgraded specialty restaurants offered exceptional meals, from fresh seafood to indulgent desserts paired with attentive, friendly service. The ship was also impressively accessible, which made traveling with my handicapped father comfortable and stress free. Every staff member went above and beyond, ensuring that his needs were met and that we could simply relax and enjoy our time together.
Alaska’s beauty is unmatched, but what made this journey truly special was experiencing it with my dad at my side.
