Sometimes the greatest upgrade isn't found onboard at all, it's choosing a bucket-list destination you've never experienced before!

After enjoying several Caribbean cruises over the years, my husband and I decided to sail through the breathtaking Norwegian fjords. That trip completely changed our perspective on cruising and remains one of our favorite vacations to this day!

After one of my Mediterranean cruises, I spent additional time exploring Barcelona, and I'm so glad I did! Instead of feeling rushed to see everything in a single day, I was able to wander through the Gothic Quarter, admire the incredible architecture, enjoy authentic tapas, and simply soak in the atmosphere of one of Europe's most vibrant cities.

In my experience, the best vacations don't begin and end at the cruise terminal. Taking time to explore Rome before setting sail, experience Tokyo's fascinating blend of tradition and innovation, or unwind in the paradise of Bora Bora afterward, transforms a wonderful cruise into an even more unforgettable journey from beginning to end.
