I spent NYE 2024 in Cancun, Mexico and decided to stay at the Canopy by Hilton Cancun La Isla. We made reservations for their New Year’s party and enjoyed the most exquisite food and entertainment. The hotel is small, central, modern and a great option for those not seeking an all-inclusive!

The hotel is centrally located in the famous Zona Hotelera, or hotel zone. The hotel had a very modern-chic small boutique vibe and the staff was very attentive. Although it’s not a beachfront property, the hotel was a short walk away from the beach. This was the most perfect, chill location for someone who isn’t looking for an all-inclusive. The food at the hotel was fabulous, but since the hotel is connected to the La Isla mall, the is no shortage of options! The mall features high-end luxury shops, restaurants and even an aquarium!
Some of my favorite features at the hotel were the rooftop bar and pool. The rooftop bar features great cocktails and specials, and provides great views. The delicious food at both restaurants and the incredible views that allowed for a mixture of fun and serenity were incredible.
It was such an incredible place to spend New Years, as their celebration was unforgettable. Not only was the food amazing, but the party also had a DJ and acrobats performing. Can’t think of a better way to welcome the New Year!
Need to know
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a more quiet, relaxing environment, and anyone looking to shop and have a variety of restaurants available. The property isn’t directly on the beach, although it’s just a short walk away, so it’s perfect for those seeking to do more than visit the beach.
