I was thrilled to be part of the inaugural 7-day sailing on MSC World America, and the experience exceeded all expectations. Embarkation at the brand-new AA/AAA cruise terminal in Miami was seamless and efficient—by far one of the smoothest cruise check-ins I’ve ever had. Thanks to our Aurea Spa stateroom, we enjoyed priority boarding, daily spa access, and extra perks that really elevated our entire week.

The ship itself is extremely technology driven and intuitive—from digital wayfinding to smart stateroom controls and the MSC app that makes it easy to reserve dining and activities on the go. The ship felt sleek and brand-new, with every detail beautifully designed.

Dining was a major highlight. We absolutely loved the Greek specialty restaurant, with its fresh Mediterranean flavors and modern ambiance. We also enjoyed the taco bar—a fun and casual option that packed big flavor. While we didn’t try the steakhouse, there were so many great dining choices that we never felt we missed out. And of course, Eataly was a standout for refined Italian meals onboard. I celebrated my birthday with some of the best pasta I have ever had!

Our itinerary included stops in Roatán, Cozumel, Costa Maya, and Ocean Cay, MSC’s stunning private island. Little French Key in Roatán offered a peaceful, upscale day at the beach with clear water and a relaxed vibe. In Mexico, we opted for beach clubs in both Cozumel and Costa Maya—great food, great service, and a beautiful way to unwind. And Ocean Cay was picture-perfect, with white sand beaches, calm waters, and a postcard-worthy sunset. The best private island I have seen to date. Your food and drinks were also included as if you were on the ship.

Back onboard, we made the most of the Aurea Spa thermal circuit—an ocean-view sanctuary perfect for post-port relaxation. Evenings were spent strolling the Promenade, Silent Disco, fantastic shows, sipping cocktails at the Elixir Bar or Champagne Bar, and taking in the ship’s incredible energy.

This ship is perfect for couples, families, wellness seekers, foodies, and anyone looking to explore the Caribbean in comfort and style. Whether you’re a first-time cruiser or a seasoned traveler, MSC World America offers an experience that feels fresh, luxurious, and completely effortless.

Need to know

This was MSC World America’s first 7-day cruise, and the ship is loaded with smart technology and modern design.

Embarkation through Miami’s new AA/AAA cruise terminal was fast, organized, and stress-free. Facial recognition made it all so easy.

Aurea guests enjoy priority boarding, spa access, and upgraded amenities—it’s absolutely worth it. Def a must-book!

Greek restaurant onboard is a must—delicious, fresh, and beautifully plated. The perfect location on the promenade.

The taco bar is a fun, flavorful, casual dining spot perfect for lunch or a quick bite. The margaritas were fantastic.

Skip the steakhouse—you’ll find more than enough variety with the other specialty restaurants.

Book an excursion to Little French Key in advance for a serene beach day in Roatán. Totally worth it.

For Cozumel and Costa Maya, private beach clubs offer a peaceful alternative to crowded excursions, in my opinion.

Don’t miss the sunset at Ocean Cay—bring a towel, grab a drink, and enjoy the view. Prepare for an amazing day in the sun.

The Promenade is a hub of energy in the evening, with live entertainment and bars to explore.
