Curator’s statement
1 Hotel Central Park holds a special place for me because it perfectly captures the idea of the concrete jungle—where nature and city life exist side by side. Staying in the Greenhouse Suite made my bachelorette feel intimate, elevated, and effortless, with enough space for everyone to truly enjoy being together. I loved how the hotel’s natural design created a sense of calm while still being steps from Central Park and Midtown nightlife. It’s the kind of place that makes celebrating in New York feel easy, not overwhelming.

1 Hotel Central Park was the perfect home base for a girls’ trip in New York City, especially for a celebratory stay where space, privacy, and location all mattered. We stayed in the Greenhouse Suite, and from the moment we walked in, it felt more like a private residence than a hotel. The natural materials, greenery, and calm energy were a welcome contrast to the city outside, while still being steps from Central Park and Midtown nightlife. It struck the ideal balance between feeling tucked away and right in the middle of everything.

Design details in the Greenhouse Suite
The Greenhouse Suite itself is truly made for group travel. With two bedrooms, two living rooms, a dining room, three bathrooms, a mini kitchen, and separate entrances, it allowed everyone to have their own space while still feeling connected. We loved being able to get ready together without feeling cramped and come and go without worrying about disturbing other guests. The copper soaking tub in the primary suite was a standout and felt like a quiet luxury moment after a long night out.

One of my favorite parts of staying here was how easy it was to go out and enjoy the city. One night, we bar-hopped nearby before heading to PHD Terrace at Dream Midtown, which was an easy walk and a great option for drinks with a view and lively energy. The next morning, we slowed things down with a walk through Central Park, bagel and coffee in hand, which felt like the most New York way to reset. For guests staying here, I recommend grabbing a bagel from Ess-a-Bagel for something classic and satisfying, and pairing it with coffee from Birch Coffee or Bluestone Lane, both within easy walking distance and perfect for takeaway before a park stroll. It’s a simple but memorable way to experience the city.

Service throughout our stay was thoughtful and accommodating. While our check-in was delayed by about two hours, the staff handled it graciously and provided food and beverage credit at Jams, the hotel’s attached restaurant. They were consistently helpful without being intrusive—even assisting with bringing up late-night food deliveries to the suite, which made group logistics effortless.
Need to know
1 Hotel Central Park has valet parking and an unbeatable location just steps from Central Park, Fifth Avenue shopping, and multiple subway lines. It’s a great option for girls' trips, bachelorettes, milestone birthdays, or families traveling together who want space and privacy in a prime location, without feeling like you’re staying in the middle of it. The Greenhouse Suite, in particular, is a standout option for groups who want to celebrate in style without feeling like they’re on display in a busy hotel.
