Picture arriving by boat to your suite and finding chilled champagne, fresh touches, and your butler ready to line up dinner or a sunset toast by the water. That’s everyday life at Rosewood Mayakoba, one of the most luxurious spots in Riviera Maya. The resort has 129 suites and villas, almost all with private plunge pools and many tucked right along the lagoon with their own dock. It feels super private and peaceful, but still just 40 minutes from Cancún airport.

The dining scene is next-level. Casa del Lago is your go-to for mornings—coffee, fresh fruit, and Mexican favorites with the prettiest lagoon views. Aquí Me Quedo is the barefoot beach club where you’ll literally eat with your toes in the sand. Zapote Bar is where the night comes alive—amazing cocktails and the perfect place to kick back after dinner. Craving sushi? Agave Azul has you covered with fresh seafood and Asian-inspired plates. If you wander over to the colorful El Pueblito square, La Fondita is perfect for tacos, tostadas, and aguas frescas between shopping or exploring. Dinner at La Ceiba Garden & Kitchen is pure magic—think one long table under the glow of lanterns and a sacred Ceiba tree, with chefs cooking over open flames right in front of you. It’s all fresh, local, and totally unforgettable. This exclusive adults-only dinner happens Wednesdays and Saturdays at 7 pm and is only for Rosewood guests—which makes it feel extra special.

Pool time is a whole vibe here. Most suites have private plunge pools (yes, your own!), but you’ll also want to check out the lagoon-side pool at Casa del Lago for those picture-perfect views. Families love the beachfront Punta Bonita pool—the resort is in the middle of upgrading it, but in the meantime, the Aquí Me Quedo beach club is serving as the social hub with its chic oceanfront pool and casual beach dining. For something quieter, sneak away to the serene pools at Sense Spa, or hit the lap pool near the fitness club if you’re feeling active.

Speaking of the spa… Sense, A Rosewood Spa deserves its own trip. It’s set on a private island and has 17,000 square feet of pure wellness heaven: 12 treatment rooms, eight overnight wellness suites, hydrotherapy pools, saunas, steam rooms, and a dreamy cenote-inspired design. They specialize in Mayan-inspired rituals—from temazcal ceremonies to sensory garden treatments—so it’s not just a spa day, it’s a whole experience.

What ties it all together is the butler service. From the second you arrive, your butler takes care of everything—unpacking, pressing clothes, organizing beach dinners, or even setting up a tequila tasting in your villa. You just show up, and the details magically fall into place.
