Curator’s statement
This cruise was a memorable milestone, celebrating my brother Jesse's 50th birthday alongside family and friends on the amazing Carnival Firenze. The experience was made even more special when we met Captain Claudio, who visited our table in the dining room for photos and conversation. We enjoyed intimate, elevated moments, including a fantastic Chef's Table dinner with our extended family from California, and the privilege of Terrazza Cabana access which provided private decks and special lounges for our group. While in port, we embraced both group and individual adventures: In Ensenada, the group split for shopping, lunch, and celebratory shots at Papa's and Beer; and in Cabo, everyone did their own thing, with my friend Anne and I even riding camels on the beach. The entire trip was a cherished blend of milestone celebration, unique experiences, and amazing service.

The Carnival Firenze experience
This cruise celebrating my brother Jesse's 50th birthday was a truly special experience, and the Carnival Firenze proved to be an excellent choice for a milestone group trip. In fact, it's one of my favorite ships in the Carnival fleet! The ship's focus on "Fun Italian Style" is evident everywhere, from the architecture to the food, offering a vibrant atmosphere that's ideal for groups and celebrations. For clients looking to elevate their experience, I highly recommend booking one of the Terrazza Cabana cabins or suites. The exclusive Terrazza Deck—with its private bar, hot tubs, and dedicated breakfast in the lounge—provided our group with quiet, dedicated spaces to gather and relax away from the main crowds, making the celebration feel truly special.
The ship also offers elevated dining experiences that are perfect for milestones. Our Chef's Table dinner was an intimate highlight, where we were able to celebrate with our extended California family. Furthermore, meeting Captain Claudio and getting photos with him during his visit to our table was a memorable touch that showcases the excellent service on board.

Cruise ports
The cruise ports of Cabo San Lucas and Ensenada offer a fantastic mix of adventure, relaxation, and local flavor.
Cabo: As a veteran visitor to Cabo, I can assure clients the possibilities are endless. For those who want to maximize their fun and amenities, look into day passes to all-inclusive resorts to enjoy pools, beaches, and bars, or simply spend the day on the beautiful beaches themselves. I have personally enjoyed snorkeling, ziplining, ATV riding, and relaxing catamaran sails to the Arch. For land-based fun, you can easily spend the day walking and shopping, enjoying tequila tastings, or experiencing the famous bar scene at spots like the Giggling Marlin, Cabo Wabo, and Señor Frogs. My friend Anne and I decided on the unique camel ride experience this time—proof that there’s always something new to discover!
Ensenada: While many guests head straight to the main strip, I highly recommend exploring the diversity of Ensenada. Beyond the fun bar scene (like Papa's and Beer) and local shopping our group enjoyed, I've personally experienced Ensenada wine country tours (an unexpected gem!), visited the famous blowhole La Bufadora, enjoyed tequila tastings, and spent the day relaxing at a private beach resort. Don't limit yourself to the city center—there's a lot of culture and beauty just a short drive away!
Who should cruise here
This itinerary is perfect for families, bachelor/bachelorette parties, and friend groups looking for a short, high-value getaway. The short sailings are ideal for first-time cruisers.

Nightcap with Cousin Penny
Booking a major celebration like a 50th birthday on a specialized ship like the Firenze with its exclusive Terrazza access truly maximizes the joy and ease of a group trip, proving that the right accommodations and itinerary can make all the difference.
Need to know
The Carnival Firenze truly sets itself apart, and I can confidently say the service and entertainment were some of the best I have seen on all the Carnival Cruises I've taken. The crew was attentive and personalized, and the entertainment was world-class.
Elevate your stay: If a Terrazza Cabana is important to you, book early (nine to 12 months out) to secure your spot. The private spaces are a game-changer for groups.
Cabo tip: Since the ship tenders into the marina, remember you'll need reliable transportation (taxis or pre-arranged transfers) if you're venturing to resorts or distant beaches.
Booking tip: Whether you're interested in the adventure or the relaxation, be sure to plan your shore excursions in advance to secure the best spots and prices!
