Love the orange around the hotel
The Grand Hotel Bellevue is perfectly situated for travelers looking to explore central London with ease and style. Located right next to Paddington Station, the property offers seamless access to Heathrow Airport and the English countryside (via train, of course) and is just a short stroll from Hyde Park, Kensington Palace, and the vibrant streets of Notting Hill. I highly recommend walking over to Gold in Notting Hill and having dinner. The restaurant is a beautifully designed space with exceptional food and drinks. I decided to get the steak (which was exceptional) and the Sicilian lemon tart (highly recommended and paired great with the suggested wine pairing) for dinner and am still thinking about both. Just down the hill, you will need to stop at Viajante87 for a nightcap. I swear Viahante has the best tequila and mezcal-based cocktails in Europe.

Drink coupon and stationery
Now let’s focus on the hotel. The property strikes a beautiful balance between contemporary design and homely comfort. Right as you walk into the lobby, you are overtaken by its orange accent colors. It creates an atmosphere that is warm, curated, and inviting. The hotel staff were nice and provided me with an upgrade at check-in. They also provided me with a drink coupon for a daily glass of wine at the hotel bar (that right there, is the way to my heart).

The rooms are compact, but that is expected for a historic London building. That aside, the room is perfect for acting as a home base as you explore London and the surrounding English area. When it was time to turn in for the night, the bed was incredibly comfortable and provided a wonderful night of sleep. The hotel offered me a complimentary daily breakfast (always love a complimentary breakfast) and the spread caters to all types of travelers, whether you prefer a light start or a hearty meal. In the evenings, you could have found me in the stylish hotel bar drinking my glass of complimentary wine.

Cozy rooms
Overall takeaway:
For those who want a comfortable stay in Central London, the Grand Hotel Bellevue is your place. It is a perfect fit for couples, solo travelers, and culture-focused guests who want a central, stylish base that feels personal and welcoming. It is ideal for those who want to explore the city by foot or train (Winchester, Bath, and Bristol are all just short train rides from Paddington Station) while returning each evening to a peaceful and beautifully appointed space. My only criticism is there was not much storage space for my clothes (a very minor complaint on my end).

Need to know
London is an incredibly accessible city, and its public transit system makes it easy to explore every corner. I recommend using contactless payment (such as a credit/debit card or mobile wallet) when riding the Tube or busses. It’s more convenient than purchasing an Oyster card and charges the same capped fares. If you are planning to explore several neighborhoods in a day, the daily cap keeps transportation costs manageable.
