After longing to stay at the Pasea Hotel & Spa for some time, I finally got the chance, and it did not disappoint! Located beachfront in the heart of downtown Huntington Beach, CA, the hotel's location is unbeatable. Its excellent service and food make it a standout choice for anyone looking for a place to stay in Orange County.

Location
As I mentioned, this hotel is the very definition of LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! It is situated on PCH with oceanfront views from the pool, dining areas and most rooms. Not only is it beachfront, but it’s also located right in the heart of downtown Huntington Beach, making it easy to walk to restaurants, shopping and nightlife. Don’t forget, you just need to cross the street to be right on the beach and enjoy a day of sun, sand and surf!
Dining
The Pasea offers several dining options, and all are outstanding! The main restaurant, Lorea, features fine dining with a cool, slightly laid-back vibe. When I saw the chicken alphabet soup on the menu, my heart was immediately warmed — it was the perfect balance of gourmet, fun and comforting!
The Treehouse Bar, located on the roof, is beautifully designed and offers a variety of appetizers, making it hard to choose what to get. Of course, don’t forget to relax and enjoy in-room dining, which also did not disappoint. There’s something incredibly luxurious about eating a great burger in bed, and this is the perfect place to do it!
Activities
There is plenty to do at the Pasea, even if you don’t leave the hotel grounds. They have a gorgeous, large pool perfectly situated in a central location within the hotel. Personally, I prefer a pool to the beach, and there’s nothing better than enjoying a view of the beach from the pool! The Pasea delivers this experience with the added charm of a city setting, giving it a uniquely vibrant vibe.
The hotel also features a full spa offering a variety of relaxing services, as well as a jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. If you’re feeling ambitious, you can head to the gym or join one of their fitness classes. They also host a variety of unique special events to keep guests entertained!
Need to know
I highly recommend the Pasea for solo travelers, whether you're traveling for business or pleasure. It’s also an excellent choice for a couples’ retreat or a girls’ getaway! The location, service, food and small thoughtful touches make the Pasea one of my favorite places to stay in Orange County.
