Curator’s statement
The Norwegian Pearl is a smaller ship by today’s standards, which makes it easier to get around and a perfect fit for families who don’t want the chaos of a megaship. There are plenty of dining options, bars, and activities to keep everyone busy at sea. What really makes the Norwegian Pearl shine though are the incredible itineraries! Who doesn't love to wake up in a new destination almost every day without the hassle of packing and unpacking?

The Norwegian Pearl, built in 2006 and fully refurbished in 2021, offers the perfect balance of comfort and adventure. With just over 2,300 passengers, it feels more intimate than today’s megaships, while still packing in all the dining, entertainment, and family-friendly features you’d expect.

Foodies will love the 15 dining options onboard. From classic included venues like Summer Palace and O’Sheehan’s Neighborhood Bar & Grill to specialty favorites like Cagney’s Steakhouse and Lotus Garden, there’s something for every craving. Guests can also explore 17 themed bars and lounges. My personal favorite was Sugarcane Mojito Bar for its classy atmosphere and handcrafted mojitos.

Unwind at the Mandara Spa with massages, facials, and salon services, or keep up your fitness routine with a well-equipped gym and a variety of classes. Outdoors, my family enjoyed the two spacious pools (one adults-only, one all-ages), multiple hot tubs, and plenty of deck space for relaxing in the sun.

The Norwegian Pearl brings nights to life with Broadway-style shows, live music, comedy, and themed deck parties. Families will also love the kids’ clubs, teen lounge, basketball court, rock climbing wall, bowling alley, and arcade. There is plenty to keep younger cruisers entertained.

The Greek Isles and Croatia sailing is where the Norwegian Pearl truly shines: Greece, Montenegro, Croatia, Slovenia, and Italy all in one trip. My family loved exploring Athens’ ancient wonders, sipping wine in Santorini, wandering the medieval city walls of Kotor, and soaking up the Adriatic charm of Dubrovnik and Split. Tender ports like Santorini and Kotor are seamlessly organized, making the adventure stress-free from start to finish.
One of the biggest joys of cruising is unpacking once and letting the ship bring you to incredible destinations. On the Norwegian Pearl, we spent our days discovering five different countries, and our evenings unwinding, dining, and enjoying the ship’s many amenities. It’s truly effortless way to see the world while still enjoying the comforts of a floating resort.
If you’re looking for a cruise that blends amazing ports, family-friendly features, and a more intimate atmosphere, the Norwegian Pearl is a fantastic choice.
