Stay London: Rosewood London
Curator’s statement

Rosewood London is a vibrant 5-Star property offering luxury with warmth. You’ll find excellent people-watching in the bustling lobby, but will be met with serenity in the comfortable guest rooms. The Rosewood’s central location provides an easy walk to Covent Garden, the British Museum, and West End theaters, yet the hotel’s numerous dining options and beautiful facilities may make guests not want to leave.

Modern Manner House

Pass through the Rosewood London’s carriageway off High Holborn and you’ll be transported to the Modern Manner House. The hotel is conveniently positioned in the heart of London, yet the grand Rosewood courtyard feels like you are entering a private escape.

The hotel prides itself on its commitment to art and culture, as witnessed by the numerous pieces you can discover throughout the hotel. Scan the lobby shelves for the Bottichelli foot paying homage to Monty Python. Visit Scarfes Bar, named after the artist Gerald Scarfe, to view his caricatures. Even the afternoon tea service in the Mirror Room is an immersive, art-inspired tea.

Stay

The rooms and suites at the Rosewood are timeless and sophisticated with elegant marble bathrooms. Tuck in under luxurious linens, order room service at any hour, and, for guests in suites, enjoy the privilege of Butler services.

For solo travel, a Deluxe Room is cozy and comfortable.

For suites, I recommend the Grand Premier Suite. The bathroom has a “dressing room” closet that is ample enough to accommodate large shopping sprees.

Dine

The Holborn Dining Room is a sizable brasserie serving modern British cuisine. The restaurant boasts London’s largest gin collection, featuring over 320 gins. Visit from 4-6 pm for Gin O’Clock, the restaurant’s gin-focused version of Happy Hour. Be sure to try one of their famous British pies for dinner. You can even book a private Pie Masterclass cooking experience in their dedicated Pie Room.

The Mirror Room is an elegant restaurant that I recommend for breakfast or afternoon tea.

Mirror Room

A visit to Scarfes Bar is an absolute must. With its deep wood tones, velvet seating, live fire, low lighting, and caricature art, Scarfes is a sophisticated bar with a hint of playfulness. Enjoy live jazz in this moody environment and experience inventive cocktails from one of the World’s 50 Best Bars (rated number 31 for 2025).

Relax

For relaxation, visit Sense, A Rosewood Spa, and pamper yourself with a facial, massage, or other body treatment.

The “Fitness Suite” features Technogym equipment and is open 24 hours daily. A personal trainer can be arranged for your visit.

Need to know

Hotel guests are given priority at Scarfes Bar. To skip the line outside, make your way to the bar entrance inside the hotel and provide your room number.

The Concierge team at Rosewood is incredible so be sure to speak with them for insider reservations.
