I had the opportunity to spend two lovely days at Prospect during the prime autumn leaf viewing season, which is an amazing time to visit. The colors all around the property during those weeks are stunning. The cedar cabins face lakeside or woodside and are so simplistically designed in a luxurious, Scandinavian aesthetic and yet so comfortable and cozy! I loved all of the design touches like the retro radio, the gorgeous blanket & sheepskin throw, and the lovely printed robes in the bathroom. Everything in the room can also be purchased in the gift shop, so I left with some of the items in the room that I loved!

The Finnish spas
The resort is truly like an adult camp, with a heated saltwater pool, activities like kayaking, paddle boarding, hiking, the Finnish spa that faces the lake, and even a sound bath experience while floating on the lake at night & looking up at the incredible sky bursting with stars! Dinner at the Cliffside Restaurant is a must. The food, service, and ambiance were terrific.

The grounds are quite large and secluded, yet right near by are charming towns like Great Barrington for more restaurants, shops, and cultural activities. In the winter, skiing is right nearby, so this is truly an all-season destination.

Room items to buy in the gift shop!

Need to know
This is an all-season property, but autumn is the most popular and books out very far in advance.
