A Romantic Escape to Grace Bay Club in Turks & Caicos
Curator’s statement

In July of 2023, I got engaged while staying at Grace Bay Club in Turks & Caicos! My fiancé and I were well taken care of by the personal concierge and the rest of the staff throughout our stay. I would highly recommend the resort for couples looking for a romantic escape!

About Turks & Caicos

There’s a reason some people make an annual trip to T&C—who wouldn’t want to enjoy this perfect beach paradise?

The photos of the white sand beaches and clear blue waters are not photoshopped. That's exactly what it looks like!

There is one catch to coming here—it’s far from inexpensive. It may be possible to stay in T&C on a budget (?), but there’s a risk of compromising the experience by having to worry about transportation, food, and activities all on your own.

If you have never been to T&C, you should plan on booking your next trip here!

About Grace Bay Club

Grace Bay Club is located in the center of Grace Bay Beach. Although it may not have the height and grandeur of the newer, neighboring hotels, the staff at Grace Bay Club provides incredible service to their clients and works hard to make each stay special.

Guests can book the adults-only building (The Hotel, an older building with refreshed interiors), the Villa Suites (newly renovated) or Estates (newly renovated).

In honor of the resort’s 30th anniversary, Grace Bay Club has special programming throughout 2023 to celebrate the occasion with guests.

Main takeaways

The personal concierge is a game changer. Upon arrival at the resort, you are assigned a team (yes, a team) that will communicate with you via Whatsapp to help you with anything that you may need. A team member will also check in with you during breakfast.

Best welcome drink—rum punch, of course!

There’s enough space for everyone. The hotel does a nice job of separating the adults-only building and pool area from the more family-oriented area.

Take advantage of the non-motorized waterfront activities offered at the resort. My favorite activity was learning how to sail on a catamaran! I’ve always wanted to learn how to sail and it was well worth spending the time to enjoy a different view of T&C from the ocean.

Stretch out on the open-air yoga deck with intimate, personalized instruction. Space is very limited (less than 12 people), but the instructor, David, does a wonderful job guiding you through a special yoga session. Yoga classes are complimentary.

There are activities for children of all ages. From the outdoor playground for little ones to the gaming room for bigger ones, parents will have an easier time entertaining their kids while on vacation.

The Infiniti Bar & Restaurant at Grace Bay Club is consistently one of the top-rated resort restaurants in T&C and is always booked. As a Grace Bay Club hotel guest, you are given priority for reservations.

Feel free to leave the resort and explore Turks & Caicos. Many resorts are located near Grace Bay Beach, so you can easily explore other restaurants and hotels. Other properties that are further away are still worth the visit, so work with your personal concierge team to secure dinner reservations and arrange transportation.

Be sure to explore local restaurants. The Conch Shack and Coco Bistro are the main restaurants that cannot be missed—however, Mr. Grouper is worth mentioning as another local, casual option.

Book outdoor excursions! As someone who does not identify herself as an active, outdoorsy type of person, I loved the clear kayak tour through the mangroves and a group sunset sail. Admittedly, I booked through the hotel in advance.

The spa is currently under renovation. The temporary spa occupies a ground-floor suite near the adults-only pool. Although the spa may not look as luxurious—yet—thankfully, the quality of the massage is not impacted.

Side Note

I got engaged while my (now) fiancé and I were on this trip.

Unbeknownst to me, my fiancé got the Romance Package add-on and arranged for a photographer to capture the moment.

During our entire stay, we were spoiled with surprises and personalized touches. Grace Bay Club is a no-brainer for anyone looking for a romantic getaway!

My review of Grace Bay Club is extremely biased—in the best way—but I am confident that future guests will also have a special experience that will certainly not be their last in Turks & Caicos.

Romance Package add-on includes:

  • Couples Massage in Anani Spa (50 minutes)

  • Romantic Candlelight Dinner for 2 in our oceanfront gourmet restaurant, Infiniti Restaurant and Raw Bar (three-course meal excluding beverages)

  • Welcome bottle of Champagne

  • Romantic turndown one evening

  • Full breakfast daily in the restaurant

  • Personal concierge

  • Afternoon tea

  • Bottled water

  • Wireless internet

  • International landline telephone calls

  • Non–motorized water sports
